you shouldnt feel guilty
you did her a favor, she is doing you a wrong
if there are extinuating circumstances, she should have let you know asap
i know someone who did it to her family, she and her husband borrowed quite a sum of money from her brother and his wife, with the understanding they would pay it back when they could, a little here and a little there til it was paid. 5 years later they had not paid on it and when he finally had enough (they lived in different cities) he called and said have you forgotten that you owe us this money. she was angry and hateful and her reply was you have lots of money and we dont so i dont see why you think you need this money back. i dont know if they ever got the money, but the relationship broke down and they are civil in the prescence of their mom and thats it and they try and not be there at the same time. (they both live hours away)

You just have to chaulk it up to experience, learn from it and go on. You will be just a little gun shy depending on what you do to help someone else in the future.

sorry kfab, grandma always said never loan what you cannot give away! unfortunately, your friend can still not pay you even with a court order. she can file bankruptcy or if she owes you, she probably owes others too. so if she being garnished from someone else or paying child support,she still does not have to pay. most states only allow a certain percentage of wages to be taken. when you do go to court a judge could allow her to make payment arangements(sometimes very low payments). but make sure you add interest and court fees. you can also add for any inconvenience. some judges will even make her surrender anything of value. please don't contact her anymore because she will try to use it against you.my advice to you.....SUE HER MISERABLE ASS!

yeah but you wait and see I will get my money one way or another Oh maybe I should call her husband I don't think he knows. I wouldn't be so made but for her making me feeling bad has know made me mad Oh she can't file bankrupcy they did that 3 years ago
