I am a single mom of 2 gurls and i find it next to impossible to date..guys that i meet just come and go once they know i have kids, thats why i dont bring anyone into my daughters lives because i dont want them to get close and leave.. i mean my 2 yr old already asks about her daddy and daddy is no where around.. my other daughter is 8months so she really dont kno.. but neither of them have a father figure which is hard.. i havent found a decent enough man to accept that my kids come first...

i belive its harder in single dads i know becuse i am a full time dad and work two jobs and women just wont want to deal with baby mama dramma

As far as dating goes, I think it is hard on both genders. But only in recent years has society given more rights to fathers. I have seen fathers that really want custody of their children or at least 50/50 and been denied. They have been denied help because they are "men and should not need help" such as grant and scholarships for education, assistance while getting an education to make a better life for themselves and their children. I applaud all single fathers for wanting and being in their children's lives. Society in general takes quite a different view of Dads raisiing kids alone. It is not easy.
As for the comments of women thinking that men are attached when they see them with their children, I usually look for a ring or a tan line for starters. If women pay attention, they will usually be able to surmise if he is attached or not. Or just ask. I think what makes it hard on both genders for dating or finding a partner is finding the time and not wanting to make another relationship mistake.

It is hard,no matter how you look at it. I am a single mother of two teenagers and if that doesn't scare anybody away, nothing will. Even though they are great kids, it scares men away. But that is ok with me, maybe God just wants me to be patient and focus all I have on my kids.

bro it depends on if you have a boy or girl. i think it would be easier to raise a boy than a girl because we already been there and still got along way to go. I've been raising my daughter since she was 6mts old and now she is a beautiful 13yrs. You should have seen me when AUNT FLO came, OH MY GOD, dude i bought everything on the shelf because i didnt know what to do. so i would have to say its harder on the dudes than the women, plus we gotta deal with the mood swings at a teenage level...... you tell me?

i have been a single dad for 3yrs. now I LOVE IT . well when he gets older he will know how it was back in 2005 till 2018 when he turns 18 .. it is harder on the dads and moms, it`s just life

I think it is hard for both, but for the most part it is harder on women. The only reason I say this is because for most women the kids live with them and on weekends visit dad so therefore leaving it easier for a man, and when it comes to single moms men are scared away because they think they will be put in instant dad role and I do not understand that at all. I dated a guy a while back and he did not meet my kids until almost 8 months into our relationship.

i think its hard on both sides of the genders but in the end the women get the shit end of the deal, cause half the men out there dont want to date a woman with children
and also we are to proud majority of the time to ask for help when we really need it unlike alot of men just pawn there kids off to other people.

Well i am a single father and my two youngest daughters still live with me , ages 14 and 7 but i had all 5 yes i said 5 of my children for a period of five years and of course nobody would date me for anything more than a friend.

I think some time there can be a double standard with single moms and single dads with a  single mom its i have a kid so except but for single parent sometime women are like I don't want to share the time .

hmnmm that is a good question imo it is harder on women because men well at least the ones ive spoken to kinda get scared off they think im looking for a father to my daughter and im not just lookin for a companion but i think that makes it hard, i think men have it easier cause sometimes and ive seen it on this site they can use there kids to attract women to them
