I think guys are afraid to commit until they find the 1 person they fall for..my best friend (which this is why we dont date) has never been faithful, wants noone to answer to..in and out of relationships just to have someone there..and until he finds that 1 girl...its just how hes gonna be.. I dont understand it or agree with it, but thats just me.

There is no such thing as afraid of commitment, guys just simply....... don't want to. If u ask me its all about a persons history, I am pretty sur evry guy has thought about commitment, but..... there was probably that 1 girl that just ruined him :/. After that any1 wud just throw the idea of commitment in a lake

I think most guys arent afraid to commit. I think they are fully able to commit if they found the right one. If you say that then why do i seem to find all of the women that are looking for "just a friend"?

alot of guys that wrote comments are right. can some1 answer me this what is up with girls wanting the bad boy image??its funny cause i find most girls do like that image and then there on sites liek this one and wondering y guys cant commit. ever think of going with the nice guy who has a head on his shoulders.?

Not all guys are afraid to commit. Now in days it is difficult to find someone who can match with the personality as well as the similarities in life for example goals and family values. There are some guys who would not want a commitment just like some females wouldn't want a commitment. It does go both ways.

i'm actually 100% committed...........when in a relationship. been single 4 a couple months now and love it. no drama, no bullshit. but when i am in a relationship, it's 100% to my baby!

ME. I currently in a relationship and she is ridiculously in love with me. I'm not sure if i am. I still have things i want to do and she is my first. My ideal life is i didn't get to explore my choices! I don't want kids right now but she does and she currently has one. she wants more and is wanting to adopt. Me i want one to two kids and no more. Thats why I'm afraid to commit. I also fell like she is trying to run my life. like telling me what she approves or not, then she throws a fit if it don't go as planned. Now i feel irresponsible for not telling her how i feel and this will lead to a break up. Maybe one day I will commit to someone else.

Guys are no different than girls about this. If a guy tells you that hes not ready to commit its because hes not 100% sure that you're the one. It doesn't matter what he tells you... if he won't commit to you he's not as into you as he says. And ladies don't pretend you aren't the same. The difference between men and women is that men "don't commit" while women put us in the friend zone until they have had their fill of jerks.

I committed to my last relationship. Matter of fact it was my first one. I took it so seriously. I thought so highly of it. But I got burned real bad by it when things went rotten. Its only caused a lot of pain to me so I refuse to open up completely until I am %100 I am committing to the right person. I know they say don't let the past affect your future but I just do it so if anything bad happens again I will not hurt as much as I do now.

If you can see through what he says when he's trying to pin the blame on you then why bother? If he seriously thought you were uncommitted and you could show that he was wrong then the problem would be solved. Of course, on the other hand, if you ramble on about commitment but have different men calling you then he's got a point. Take a look at the signs you're giving him and what he's returning to you, only a good sense of judgement can tell you what to do. There are men who aren't afraid of being with one person for the rest of their lives, some actually seek it out. The funny thing is, I say "I am looking for a good wife" and many women who showed me interest simply stop.
