god is wqrking in your life right now. wwhen 3 or more are gathered in his name he is there.he is a sneeking one who show he self through, poeple places and things. but u must get rid of pride, and be humble..... means close to grond. and yes we were born to sin. we have to teach r kids from day one right from wrong

I'll let the Bible answer your question...the author was much smarter than me. From Paul's 1st letter to the Corinthian Church Chapter 2, verses 11-14...11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.[c] 14The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
...so as I understand it...if you do not believe in God, do not accept the cleansing from your sin by the blood of the final spotless lamb to be sacrificed (Jesus) then God's Holy Spirit will not/cannot dwell in your heart (God's new temple on earth) because God cannot and will not associate with sin. Therefore, the Holy Spirit cannot help you understand what God is trying to say to you through the Bible since ya wont let Him.
Keep in mind the FREE gift of salvation is free to all who accept it but it was DEFINITELY not free to God who sacrificed His only son to save people who hate(d) Him. I was raised thinking God was a big mean ogre who punished sinners...now I know better and have children of my own...I can't imagine the agony He went through as He watched His Son being tortured...think about that for a minute. and what did Jesus say as men drove spikes through His wrists and feet? "Father forgive them, they know not what they do"...I'm certain He still offers the same plea for everyone on these sites who have made trash talking God their mission in life.
