Hi, Need some male points of view on men that want you one minute by calling and chasing you down then the next minute when all is good say you are getting too close??? Is this a man who doesn't know what he wants ? He has said this. Why does he keep coming back? Thanks for the insight.

No sometimes the women get male shadows and vice versa. Happened to someone I know. Maybe Dustin has run out of the appropriate pictures...................

This advice transends gender or sexual orientation. They keep coming back cuz you let them come back. Obviously they know what they want if they keep coming back and it might not be you, but what you're a life support of. Remove that aspect and see if they come back!
Ok now it transcends, sheesh

I think people find online relationships easier to dispose of. Almost like they are not a true person until meeting in person. And even then sometimes still very disposable. Maybe it has to do with having millions of people just a mouse click away. So now the "Bird in the hand" doesn't have as much value when there is an entire flock in the computer.
I ultimatly agree with Geo.... You are fulfilling some need he has (Sex? Ego?) But he is just not fully into you. Move on. Sorry. I know it hurts. But the reality is that he is not valueing you. And you deserve to be valued.

Given this is just a mixup as flowergirl suggests, I will go ahead and say, like epiphany, that the same can be said of women....it's not a particular trait of either sex. And to add more to the mix, this happens even outside sites like this. The only answer I have for this question for either side is that it's a human mystery. It may very well be that one party thinks they are ready for something or someone and then realizes they aren't. Or maybe they have been alone or turned down so many times that they have become codependent, in a way, and are programmed to only a given response. Kinda like asking a girl "you don't wanna go out with me, do you?", to which she says 'yes' and you say "I didn't think so..."
Or maybe there was a pre-existing issue in your special someone's life that he or she has to deal with first or make a decision about and if you really love her or him, you'll be willing to maybe ease off and...dare I say it...wait.
Of course, easier said than done...

FEAR....it is fear. When it feels good it scares him. He wants to feel good, he wants that feeling but those feelings are also a reminder of what comes after them or if it doesnt work out. It's a vicious cycle.

I agree with coppermare. Many of us have lived through heart breaking experiences. We were in love, so happy and BAMMMMMM.......the heart break! I can say, it is not just the men, I sometimes have those feelings as well. I don't want to have those bad feelings again. I have decided that I will have the courage to be happy and let's face it............you regret the risks that you didn't take. You will never know if it was meant to be............
