Theirs this girl ive been talking to since August of last year and shes been having some problems with her boyfriend cheating on her. She comes to me all the time asking me for advice knowing that I have feelings for her, and sometimes it even seems like she likes me back. She even calls me at night rather than calling him. Should I put our friendship at stake and ask her out or should I just let situation play itself out?

I think you should find yourself a woman for you! This woman is your friend (using the term loosely) and will likely never be much more than that. Look for a woman who is good for you and will love you for who you are and will not have ANY other men in their mind! Being this woman's friend is a great thing, but she has a boyfriend (whether a good one or a bad one) and she is not looking at you in the "partnership" kind of way.
Move along on the romantic plane and seek out a woman who will love you as her boyfriend and significant other, not as a bud who she can tell all her problems to. Friendship is a great thing, but you shouldn't be looking to this woman for anything romantic.

I agree with Barbara. For your own peace of mind let her work it out, even if it takes longer than you would like. You never know, it could end in the result you're hoping for.

Perhaps she is interested in you, and hoping you will express concern and caring for her.
Since last August is a long period of time...for many people.
Have you asked her about her feelings for you?
or why she allows the other person to take advantage of her feelings?
Perhaps if you gave her a small friendship bouquet, she would give you some feed back..
a single flower conveys the message..*I care about you*...

Speak from your heart you can always ask why she puts up with it or him maybe you should reveal your true feelings in the situation but protect your heart at all costs because she might see you as a friend only not as boyfriend..... ive been in a few of these i know and had my heart broken more than once.......i was dating a abused woman and she chose to stay cause he changed which is totally bull crap lepards dont change their spots once abuser always abuser.......but i lost that one going on 11yrs now.....but we still talk and are friends......but never wear your heart on your sleeve cause best way to break it

My take on this...."you are JUST a friend"
You will only hurt yourself to continue being "the friend" if you are wanting more.
I say, "go out and date other people, have fun, you are very young and have lots of life and girlfriends to go through".

magtag has the right idea. keep moving and let it play out.
assess your own feelings for your friend from an objective point of view.
you could tell her how you feel and let the chips lay where they fall.
if she is a true friend she may appreciate your honesty and openness on the other hand
she may never speak to you again either way you have to live your own life for you and nobody else.
