Just sad by letitridegirl at 6/6/2015 11:43:36 AM So I am getting on the elevator at the hospital and their is this man in a wheelchair with oxygen in his nose and I get in front of him to make sure the doors stays open. He says "Man I need to get out of here" So I say " Yea I know what you mean" I ask him How long you been here? You here for therapy? He states that he just left the army was in there for thirty years and was hit by a bomb and had to come home and now finds out he has cancer from being over there. This man looked no older then 50 it just broke my heart.

Nonetheless, it's quite amazing that someone would be in service for 30 years in any war zone. Are you certain he isn't using these as pick-up lines on the elevator ? lol If it's true, it is VERY sad.

ttrockz55	6/6/2015 1:34:02 PM Yes! From over anywhere! And my experience caregiving vets...the 'benefits" of the va medical system usually don't cover oncologists. At less two years ago in Prescott, AZ they did not. It was something one needed additional coverage for...as your va benefits are not medics insurance, just benefits provided by their hospitals.
