I liked this guy (his looks, more specifically) when I first saw him. But it's weird, because I couldn't stop thinking about him for a year. Recently, I started to think about him a lot. We're FB friends, and he's like in some kind of thing with another girl. It bugs me, I'm envious, but I shouldn't be because I hardly know him at all.
We're only just acquaintances, and he's good looking and tall, but honestly that doesn't explain why I think about him so much. I don't even know him as a person, so I know I don't LIKE him as a person. Plus, in college there are many more attractive guys around.
I don't get it. I try to analyze why I even think about him so much, but can't come to a conclusion. Has anyone had this experience before? Just this mysterious magnetism thing going on to another person?

Yeah, I think about Keeley Hazell and Catherine Bell often for obvious reasons.

When I was your age we called that a crush.
Not being a smartass, nor am I implying any kind of insult about your age.
Just saying even a crush can be powerful and last a considerable amount of time.

Infatuation on his looks. You are mesmerized by his appearance, maybe often wondering if you ever have a chance to 1) Get to know him personally and 2) End up with him romantically in some way.
You are constantly reminded of him via Facebook, so you are easily able to see him everyday and sort of get a sense of who he is (by the personal information he provides).
It's the typical "crush" we all experience at some point in life (sometimes mroe than once). For you, he may be the best looking guy you've ever seen and are certainly attracted to his outward appearance. If you liked what you saw, you should have gone for what you wanted when you had your chance.
Best of Luck to you

Maybe it is, but I don't understand why I have a crush. Ok, he's handsome, so what, I go to college and there's plenty more
I don't really get it. Why him? Maybe if he goes to my college next year I'll figure it out or something.

Actually quite normal OP...it is only a problem when it affects other aspects of your life, prevents you form doing the things you need to do, school, career, etc.
What may help is to tell him. Have that conversation you may figure out (although FB "friends") that he is no more special than the guys right around you.

The thing is, I really dislike what he posts. He's not the type of guy I thought I would like at all. Seeing his statuses doesn't make me like him even more, let's just say.

@lacus - Are his status updates a turn off for you and do you now find him less attractive? Does what he say drive you away from thinking about him as often?

Ah.. he's a mystery guy? Don't you love em? They always leave you wondering about when you'll see them next, but the best way to get their attention. Is to keep yourself really ocupied. Trust me if he's interested he'll respond. But until then I would ignore him, until he decides to make a move.
If you worry about it. You'll never get a phone call.

I usually only think about which chics that are doing me the most, should i clamor for a relationship with, once they use sex on me enough; because i like to give my picker something to work with.

It happens. Sometimes there is just something about a person that attracts you, even if you don't actually like them. Some would say that the strange magnetism is because you knew him in a past life. Others will say it's the opposites attraction. Or it could just be pheromones.

A person does not have to like cleaning to have OCD. However, you don't have to have OCD to be drawn to someone you don't know. People are attracted to others for many different reasons. Some books are devoted to that subject. Perhaps he reminds you of an unresolved situation that happened in your early childhood. Perhaps you had a lover or an enemy who seemed the same in a previous life. Who knows why someone is truly attracted to another person they don't know beyond the "nice to look at" features that many people have.

Because he reminds you of your imagined fairy tale Prince Charming, and you unrealistically want the fairy tale to become true for you.
