I'm sure I'm doing this because I've had a sour stomach for the last few days... Even a Costco hot dog sounds like a gourmet meal.
I use to love Red Lobster, but their portions are so small now, disappointed. I use to order The New England platter for a meal. It was bacon wrapped scallops, clam strips, and stuffed mushrooms. Yummy. Not anymore.
Dim Sum at House of Louie in West Covina, melt in your mouth delicacies! Schooner or Later un Long Beach has the very best eggs Benedict. Rivers end cafe, to die for crab omelettes. Not sure what city, but it's right on the beach, and you can even bring your dogs, YES, dogs.
Okay now I'm even more frustrated.

 Bubbly,I ate at FIVE GUYS BURGERS and FRIES last week and it was excellent!I'm definitely a fan!

I like Home Town Buffet, but I love Golden Corral even more. The garlic toast is fantastic. Just more choices that I prefer. Gotta love the buffets!

Hmmm, Bob's. Not a lot around anymore. The closest one to me is in Yucaipa. I went to the one in Toluca Lake, but it wasn't very good. I love the double deck burger. That relish sauce makes it.

5A5 steakhouse in sf .. Gotta do the 8 course meal. Get ready to spend though.
Love this cool brunch spot in socal next to lax, (yelp it) they grow there own veggies and beyond good. Cant remember the name. But I can tell you how to get there.
I can always got cheap at portos bakery socal and pinkies hot dogs.
cattlemansay steakhouse is always good.
Im hungry

Mac and Cheese. Hey, have you guys heard, we have a new restaurant in Cali. Bonefish Grill. It is the only one here in Tustin Ca. Brand new. Check it out on the Web. I will be going soon. I've heard about their Bang Bang Shrimp.

La-La's Argentinian Grill on Melrose just outside of Hollywood is really good!
I love the "chicken a la cebollas"
the portions are so big, I always have enough left over for lunch the next day.
Musso and Frank on Hollywood Blvd has great steaks...a little pricy, but worth it
they also make the Best martinis

i thought you said "new england clam chowder"...but it says "platter"....but...since i was thinking of chowder, i thought about the NE clam chowder at King's Fish House. mmm mmm! I see Rancho Cucamonga is the closest Kings to the city you have listed on your profile. I haven't been to that one, I"ve only been to the one in San Diego, so hopefully Rancho's is just as delish!!

For Pastrami, The Hat, bar none. (try the wet fries)
Pink's for dogs.
Mambo's Cafe (Glendale) has the best Cuban food in Hell-A, try the roast pork.
Sevan Chicken has an awesome half-chicken special, get the garlic butter sauce and the Armenian pickles.
For ribs, try Pecos Bill's on Victory Blvd near the 134, but only on Sat/Sun and be sure to order on FRIDAY, since they sell out FAST!!
