Emotional outbursts or manipulative conversations
like where you preach to me about your mom being wrong and make me nod my head in agreement to end the conversation...

Those usually require you calling me back.. like im gonna chase you around after that crap..

You seem pretty awesome.

Maybe the guys are just not confident enough to deal with a strong woman.

Nothing wrong with anyone, just not compatible..

I think it can be a turn off when women are too forth coming about how independent they are and how they don't need a man like it says in your profile OP. It's not that guys are looking for a codependent mess of a woman or anything but doesn't everyone who's looking for a serious relationship want to feel wanted and needed? Needed is the glue that holds things together when wanted goes on vacation. I mean it's fine to be independent maybe just try toneing it down a little. I think by this age most people realize the opposite sex can survive just fine without the other. So maybe try starting a relationship without declaring your independence first.

OP is nothing about you, it happens to a lot of women on dating websites!
Like I said on another threads, most people who go on dating websites tend to treat others like fast food, they want it NOW! NOW! NOW!

Try to date men outside too...

Personally, I think that the best relationships start from a natural friendship, where people get to know each others naturally, free from any pressure...

Let's be honest, after sex is involved, everything start to get much more complicated..
so, if is not to be just FWB, will be better to build a solid mental and emotional attraction, and not only physical...

...and then frankly speaking, if the attraction isn't on the physical level only, the sex is much better.

Thanks fantastic... I agree when the mind and heart as well as the body is involved, sex is ten times better, thats why I really try to get to know mire about them here or talking on the phone before we meet, I also think thats why I dont understand the flaking... its not like I meet them after one text... its why I get so frustrated...

As a man , I can say, that sometimes old fears from being hurt raise their heads, but men need to remember that courage is not the absence of fear, but embracing it, owning it, and advancing anyway. Most of us have had this happen one time or another, most as teen -agers, lol. So MEN man up, face your fear and go get that woman whom will enhance you and you do the same for her....nuff said?

This is very true. I drove to meet my DH date for our first date, and immediately asked her for a second date shortly thereafter. We met in person within 2 weeks of messaging one another. We dated for the next 4 months and I eventually proposed to her and we will be getting married soon. A real man who is genuinely interested in you won't waste time he will move fast like I did. Us guys know that if we don't move fast another will move in and take what we could've had. You snooze you loose

Im not looking to date, especially from this site.

However, try going out like to different events around the city, it doesn't have to be a club type of outing.

Take friends with.

Why are you worrying about it?

A man who is worth your time, attention and affection won't flake. Period.

Those other guys are just saving you the headache of finding out they're flakes later on in the relationship.

Till the right kind of man comes along, you should spend less time worrying about what those flakes were thinking and more time developing the confidence and traits of the woman you want to be.

A woman who commands respect with her lifestyle, character and demeanor will eventually attract a man who is worthy of her respect and will respect her in return.

You attract the type of person that you are. If you don't like what you're attracting, then focus your energies on the one person you CAN change - yourself.

Grab your power, girl. Once you do, those flakes won't seem so appealing.

In spite of the insult-flinging festival this thread has turned out to be, the lady really DOES have a point.
I, too, have guys contact me every day begging to date me and my poly family, and then flake off when it gets to the point of actually meeting. One guy in particular talked to me here for several days, and then on YM video chat for hours, and even Google-Earthed my house. He was gung-ho about meeting until I actually set a time and then he suddenly got a mysterious ailment which kept him from leaving his house (although not from going to work). He said he'd definitely want to reschedule and then pulled the same EXACT excuse the next week.
He's not the only one- there have been several who've set dates to meet and cancelled or not showed (which is why we only invite people to things we're already going to be doing, so our time isn't wasted).
I'm on several other dating sites, and this has been BY FAR the worst for this sort of behavior.
