We either broke or tied a record for the coolest morning temp...I have on long pants...but we will make it to 80 today. Apparently Goldilocks has came to play for a few days. I love Goldilock days
No rain for a few day then another week of rain every day.
I suppose I should recover the house today....it goes a bit wild while we are absent....shoes accumulate under the coffee table and the top of it geis full of stuff which has a home elsewhere, usually in the garbage.
But first I shall enjoy this fine fair morning..........may you too of course, but please remember this is Thursty Thursday and do it glass in hand

58 last night and cool this day..75 maybe. Part cloudy and nice. Even the skeeters are un-happy.  But, rain next week and 80s. So enjoy this while it lasts. Maybe go stack some firewood in the shed.

Way past morning now but happy afternoon to everyone. Cooler here this morning but not as I expected. Was still sort of steamy outside at 8 AM and the sun is in and out. Robin egg blue sky with huge white, fluffy clouds. A beautiful day.

I had to fight sleep this afternoon until a neighbor came over and picked my blueberries. So far, it has had about a gallon and a half picked from the one bush. Next week should yield about a half gallon or more. It has really been a good year for blueberries.
The lawn service arrived this afternoon. I watered the potted plants outside and patio. The yard chores are completed.
Guess I am ready for the 4th of July....minus the fire works. Will be enough of those noise makers and they are not suppose to be fired in the city limits. I frankly dislike the noise going on way too late at night.

A Merry Fourth of July to everyone!!
Been awake since 3 am possibly because I had four or more naps yesterday and I shall most likely have one today for I want to stay up long enough to see the fireworks....they happen after dark you know..............
This is Fireworks Friday I shall go buy sparklers and sparkle plenty
If ambition hits me in a moment or two I shall make Soda Bread. While I know this is not traditional 4th of July fair and I'm not Irish....well, I can't think of an excuse of why I'm making Soda bread............
So Ladies and 'Ole Geezers now is the time to don your fire proof suit and celebrate the 4th. Do not wait for your overloaded with candles birthday cake.

Yes, freezer bags handy and ready.
We made a Blueberry Cobbler last week. I eat a few in my Cherrio's. My
Neighbor wants blueberry muffins, and Grand daughter loves Blueberry PANNYcakes...
Know all our east coast friends will be happy when Arthur leaves town. Know it really hurts the town's hard on the 4th tourist trade....the same has happened here from tropical depressions. All stay safe and avoid driving in this heavy rain maker.

Watched the Fourth of July parade yesterday. 
Two hours of floats, bands, motorcycles, clowns, and dancing girls.
Grand daughter was in her first marching band parade.
Today, is putz in the yard and work in the garage day.....

I had the ' jump out of the skin' scare a few minutes ago when a loud explosion went off from fireworks already. Was too close for comfort but do not know who did it.

Nice day. Perfect temps and sun. NOT perfect skeeters. grrrr....Is swatting considered and exercise plan? Also running? I considered driving to the Dells for the fireworks. And then have to drive HOME in the dark..hmm.. And watched the big Rhythm and Booms that the tv in Madison broadcast from the other night...so think I will just be happy with that. Instead of the drive and HUMANS in a herd!!! And kids screaming and running all over. And the risk of having fireworks fall on your head.

Nice day down here in So. Fla so far. Was up at 6:30 at the dock to sit with my feet in the water and just relax and recollect!! It just got a little overcast off and on but so far no rain.... Going to have a cookout with a few neighbors and hang out and I'm glad to be home and not on the beach. They wanted all hands on board for the turtle patrols as there are fireworks and lot..lots of drunk who want to try to jump over a nest or do some weird thing. They are posted and federally protected! Yet, there is always the clown who can't drink and maintain his sensibility who want to tangle. I can't abide it....so I opted out. I'm on the beach tomorrow for a longer tour and that suits me fine. I wish you all a safe and fun 4th....God Bless America......

After yesterday's 88, getting up to 54 was a bit of a shock - last of Arthur's drips exiting, I fared well in comparison - only 2.2 in the gauge - not like 6 or more in other places.
