The snow we have had since Monday is very light and fluffy. We are under a wind chill advisory until 1 pm Thursday and a lake effect snow warning until 4 am Thursday. Tomorrow morning will be 25* or less when I get up then go up to about 65.. stay tuned, I will keep you posted. weekend though will be back in mid 70s, this weather is NUTS!!

I already have the portable electric (radiator) heaters on in the living room and the master bathroom/bedroom to help with the regular heat. I'll be dripping the faucets for the next 3 days.

No natural gas here. So bills get pretty high. Mine is around $500 for 2 months for fuel oil not counting electric bill. I have thermostat set at 62F. Want to trade?

trisha1 Erie, PA 65, joined Dec. 2007	I have gas forced air. My bill was $98 last month. Will probably be about $140 because of the frigid temps for the last few days and until at least Monday. I will not be cold, so I do pay for it. The furnace is set at 68 or 69.

Yes, I'm not much of a fan of winter. As far as I'm concerned the best way to spend a MN winter is from the Caribbean! To be fair at least we don't measure the snow in feet like they do in upstate NY. It could be worse. We've had a wind chill advisory for days now and there may be blizzard conditions in SW MN tomorrow.
