I'm writing a novel about my conversion to Catholicism. Right now I'm on the part where I first learned about Purgatory. The Purgatory doctrine, more than any other Catholic doctrine, convinced me of the truth of the Catholic faith. Once I learned about Purgatory I knew I had to be a Catholic.
I remember that the priest who instructed me in the faith was very surprised by this. "Most non-Catholics find Purgatory to be a stumbling block," he said. Not for me. It made perfect sense to me.
What do y'all think?

Casting "Asleep at the Wheel"...think Winona Ryder playing Judy Perriman and Robbie Benson as Paul Tifton. Both of those actors are too old to play the parts now, but in their younger days they would have been perfect. Paul Dano might could be Paul Tifton.
