I'm really sorry you're homeless. That must be horrible. I really feel for you.

But you keep putting ALL your shit out here, so now we all have opinions. This is going to sound harsh but I'm going to go ahead and articulate what a lot of us are thinking:

I'm from VA too. Chesapeake is not exactly out in the twillies. I think you're inflating and exaggerating the numbers you put out (not just in this post).

And with your degrees and education, are you telling me you're still making $10 an hour? People don't need an education to make that. I could make that working at McDonald's. Something doesn't add up, here.

I think it's time for a little self-reflection. There are always shitty things in life that we have no control over. But there are plenty more things that we can control. Focus on those. You need to stop blaming everyone else for your problems and take an honest look at what you are doing to contribute to them. None of us here really know you, just like we don't really know anyone else here (unless we've met them on multiple occasions). You come across as depressed, bitter and as having a persecution complex. I really think you need some help. Until you get your head right, your life won't be right. There's likely a direct correlation between your issues and your financial woes--you may very well be competent and intelligent, but the average business owner wants to hire and promote a confident, congenial person who can work well with others and represent their business well.

There's no shame in seeking mental help. I've had to see a doctor and a therapist for depression a couple different times in the past. It really can help. I know exactly what it's like to feel trapped and stuck in a bad situation. I had never heard the term "learned helplessness" until a few months before I moved to China. You grow to truly think there's no solution, and that no matter what you do, your situation won't change. So you stop trying.

There's an expression we always hear but that makes a lot of sense: "If you keep doing what you've always done, you're going to keep getting the same results you've always gotten." We have to stretch ourselves beyond our comfort zone--even if it's uncomfortable--in order to grow.

You're working with a church right now. See if they can advise you on where to turn for assistance with mental health. If they can't, try another church. Do everything you can to get yourself treatment. At the very least you can join a free support group for victims of abuse, and go to the library and read inspirational or self-help books.

Stop all the excuses and get yourself right, Gurnzy...or nothing is going to change for you. This is your time to start over; today is a brand new day. I really do wish you luck and I believe you can make positive changes in your life.
