Do you stay in a relationship with someone who lives about and hour away? You only get to see each other usually late fri night till sun morning, unless one of you have to go out of town for your job, on the weekend. So tell me do you continue talking on the phone, paying the phone bills and see eachother when you can? Who in here thinks its worth it?

it depends on your feelings if you truly love one another then why are you still traveling to see eachother is there not a way that one of you can move? I'm talking to someone that lives way more than an hour away from me and if it works out who knows I am willing to move if I fall in love. I guess you just have to ask yourself how serious is it and is this what I want with my life!! JMO

It totally depends on the the couple. You will know in your heart if "he's" worth it. How long have you known each other. Do you share the "expense" of phone bills, driving to see each other, ect. If its one sided than maybe it isnt "worth it". And sometimes you need to give things enough time, just to see if you are right for each other. And if you are, the distance wont matter.

I don't know about Ohio, but out here in Nevada, one hour is considered a very short drive. Even two hours is a short drive. Why can't one of you leave after work and drive the hour and leave an hour early in the AM? IF you did that a couple of times a week, it would make the weekend arrive quicker. Just my 2 cents...

I've driven just over four hours to meet a lady and it was well worth it !! It was a first date, more of a " meet and greet " and I had a terrific time, but the lady decided that we lived too far from each other, so we decided to be good friends, instead. I consider myself fortunate, indeed, to have her friendship, at the very least.

I'm talking to a very sweet guy now who lives a little over an hour from me. he's willing to come see me on the weekends. Neither one of us can move closer to the other right now due to our work. Check with your local phone company about a package deal with unlimited local and long distance calling plans.

yes, I have driven in K.C. To get to relatives houses, they are 45 mins. to an hour apart. I havn't been to Dallas, but I know how big it is. Been to N.Y. and Atlanta, so I can imagine. How about them cowboys? Cajun.

Used to drive from Omaha to Cedar Rapids, IA a lot, or we would meet halfway for almost three years. It was very intense, and we had a wonderful amazing relationship. Or so I thought. Unfortunately, he was also having wonderful amazing relationships with several other women who lived closer.
Coming from Nebraska, I had to be number one, so that ended that.

lol....I really don't think that an hour is to long to drive at all.
I had a fairly long relationship with a beautiful lady ....she's a full 8 hour drive.
I probably drove it 7 times...and flew ($300) another 4 times....on top of that was a hotel room every trip and meals out and movies or night clubs. .........every visit cost me about $500......$600 or more..... I hate it but I just can't do it any more.
Tonsssssssss..... of people drive an hour or more to work every day......I'd be there every day....Geeesh

An hour away seems to be about the farthest away you can be and still have it be practical. Maybe an hour and a half. Anything more than that and it's simply too hard. But, yes I would do an hour away.

I drive to Michigan (15 Hrs) once every month to see my family (Mom, Bro, Sis, Son/Wife and Grandkid units), because I love them. If there were a person in my life that I believed could be my mate and was only an hour away, I would do it twice a day if it needed to be done.

To the originator of the thread......
What is the big deal about an hour away? I live in the boon docks and all of the men I have dated have lived anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half away. They did not come down and stay over for the week end. They would drive down to my home, pick me up, take me somewhere, take me home and drive back to their home. As far as paying for telephone calls, you get a cell phone and get unlimited long distance calling and free talk time, usually after seven, eight, or nine o'clock at night, depending on your plan.
Something is very wrong with your relationship for you to be asking these questions.

hey girl iam doing it right now igo see her every weekend it is getting spendy and will have to watch my budget and might have to cut back on seeing her in person she dosent have a car so she cant come see me and she has little money two she works mabee 15 hours /week she had a cancer tumor removed by her spine and she is on light duty work for long time she lost alot of muscle around he lower spine and will take long time to rebuild it but i think its worth it iam 41 if you have to drive then thats what you need to do to find and date somone

I own my buesness so I have to be there all week but we get to gether sometimes during the week we get along great so far its been 7 mo.
