I'd say in my case, definitely me, the single mom, as the low-life dad just walked away and never looked back. Left me with all of the responsibility and worry.

However, every case is different and this is my situation...I won't attempt to speak for anyone else.

I don't think it matters if you are a single dad or a mom. It's hard enough raising a child anyway. I became a single dad because my son's mother died the day after he was born. That was 6 years ago. He also has ADHD. I try to get all the help that i can find. If you look for help it's out there.

I don't think it's easier on either. But I have to ask what about those that don't get to see their kids but some 12-15 days out of the year, or less? One, can WE still claim to be single parents? And two, would you still think we have it hard?

I have yet to understand why fathers sign contracts that give them the right to their kids for 15-20 days out of 365 a year. I even know a guy that signed a contract that allowed his baby's mama to move anywhere she wanted without so much as a post it. Am I supposed to be thankful that I get some time? I have yet to come to this point in my life, but I feel it's coming and already it makes me angry. And if we aren't single parents, what are we? I've already come to the conclusion that if I can't get her all the time, I don't want any time. If I see her at any time, because of my job, I would want her to be next to me all the time. I don't expect anyone to understand this, but I also don't need anyone to either lol. Enjoy!

If you are being a good parent, it is never easy. It's the toughest jobs in the world but pays out tremendous dividends in the end. Who will be there for you when you really need someone. Hopefully your kids.

My opinion would be couples raising the kids together... lol Really. I'm a single mom and out of all my married friends I think I have it easier. I make the rules! I say "Yes" or "No" when I feel I need to. There is no confusion and no conflicts. Being a single parent is pretty freaking great! on the other hand my kid probably thinks otherwise. That's life!

I am single and raising a 3 month old, 9 year old and 11 year old. I guess you could say it could be easier if there where two parents but in my case the two older ones are my adopted brother and sister and My mom and I are raising the three of them together. As of right now and my past relationships Id say Im quiet happy with mom instead of a man in my life...

It's tough being a "single" parent whether you're female or male.
