I don't even know where to begin. First, he wins the office. Then he doesn't want to pull his kid out of "Private" school. What does he do? Flies, at our expense, from Chicago to Springfield, daily. This is just the first in a LONG line of complaints that I have against this Bozo!

I think many of us don't know how to begin with Blago - he's more concerned with not being inconvenienced.

He keeps signing in all these laws without a clue as to how to pay for them! Even his own Dems turned against him!

Well,as like most of the stuff that comes from our government, usually not much real thought goes into them. A good example is the new smoking law.

I say that every smoker in Illinois should send one dirty ashtray to the Govenor and tell him to shove it up his ass. When thousands of ashtrays start showing up at his residence, maybe he will get a flicker of reality!

Well,Windby,I just think provisions should have been made for designated smoking places:ie...Bars or lounges. I just think there should be public smoking areas and public non-smoking areas.I think I said that right, let me know. I'm not a bar person, but when you go to a bar,the old way,You expect smoke.

If you bought a bar, who is the owner? You are! Why in hell is the government telling you what you can and can't do on your own property? If people don't want to breathe in smoke, post a sign that says that this is a smoking establishment! Prohibition didn't work with alcohol and it won't work with tobacco! Send those dirty ashtrays to the Jackass in Springfield (or where ever the Capitol is these days)and tell Rod to shove them!!!

man..i've been reading this thread.. sounds like yaw' got yourself an emperor instead of a governor.
that smoking ban in houston sucks. however, you can still smoke at Reliant Stadium. There are smoking areas all over that place. Of course not inside, but anywhere outside, while walking down the ramps.. yup, right along side non-smokers. no complaints that i know of except from bar owners and eating places.
i'm with you. if you post signs that it is a smoking bar, or eating place.. welp.. sorry folks, go somewhere else if you wish to not smell smoke. I'm a smoker and sometimes I hate the smell too. But I smoke in my home sometimes, and if you are a non-smoker, dont come to my house. Its my house!! if you do not allow it in your home, well, i'll not be coming over much. change the way you are? HECK NO! But dont change me either!!
peace... don't be hatin'

Knight, This is my point. Where do we draw the line? First, you can't smoke in governmental buildings, then it's private businesses. Your home is next! Well, they will make it in your car first, but it will be in your home before you know it! Goodbye Conservatism, Hello Socialism! (AKA Democrats)

I think the same..... I feel it should be up to the owner of the business. WHAT NEXT ?????
What else are they gonna dictate we can or can't do???
If I want to smoke and as they say "kill myself" isn't that my c onstitutional right???
I just think it is a way for new revenue for the state ( from people having to pay their stupid fines )

Plus, look at his idiotic reasoning. They tax the heck out of cigarettes to pay for Healthcare. Then they ban smoking to try to get people to quit. If everybody quits smoking, who is going to pay for the healthcare? Personally, I think that we should fire the entire state legislature, and elect "Blue Collar" representatives!
