Some times there is no one to ask even simple stuff. We are lucky here to have many who may help. If two heads are better than one, maybe many will be great. It can be something funny or not. Hopefully we can help each other out.

My Question: I want to re-calk the space between the tile and the bathtub. There is too much space between and the old calk is cracking. Should I leave the old and calk on top to fill up the space or should I remove the old and try to put several layers. or just put my abc gum on it and call it a day?

Hilda, DJ's right...re-caulking will fix immediate problem; but if wood frame house, floor may be rotting/sinking from moisture or foundation of house settling...

I use a special drill bit for removing caulk. I bought it at Home Depot or Lowes,,,not sure which. You put it in a drill,,,turn it on,,,and run the bit over the old caulk and it goes away,,,or is pulverized into a fine powder. Vacuum it up, wipe the tiles down,,and recaulk.

If your house is sinking then get the video, "The Half Ass Approach To Foundation Repair" with Troy McClure. <---Tonge in cheek here.

Thanks I may try to do this before the surgery. My house is not sinking at all I think they got mixed up thinking the tub and floor and it is the tile wall and tub.

this is really easy and you get a perfect caulk line, i learned this while working on aircraft. remove the old caulking. use blue painters tape and outline the back and the front of where you want the caulking to go, (one on the wall and the other on the tub). have a cup of water with a small amount of dish soap in it. gun the caulking in, using your finger after it is dipped into the water remove the excess. after you are satisfied that you have the coverage, remove the tape and you have two perfect lines.

the water and the soap will keep the caulking from sticking to your fingers...

hope this helps you.

Thank you. I think I will do it next weeked because I think it has to dry 24hs and I like my showers.
I am working on the living room and have to cover the opening of the fire place, there is no fleu. I hate having to do all this but getting the shoulder done and will not be able to use it. I have a sheet of drywall in front of it and will put some curtains in the door way to divide the rooms . I won't heat those rooms. I have a old keroseen hall heater. This is an old 1960's home but it made it though Dora and is a sturdy block house. Needs work.
Wonder If I can get a roomate just put out a sighn Owner and home need work.

Ladies maybe you can help me with this one. My hair is nothing like my picture anymore. After my 30day sleep and the meds I guess, turned it into a cotton ball. It is dry. curly won't hold a color and almost makes me want to shave it and start over. Anyone have any home products or something I should try. I have tried Imfusium works some. colestoral jel. mineral oil and many condishioners. I give up

Hilda,
I know this may sound weird, but my mother and grandmother swear by using mayo for dry, damaged hair. She used it after having it colored and permed in a short time span and over processed it leaving it brittle and frizzy. It worked for her, she put it on her head and put on a shower cap to keep in the moisture, she suggests leaving it on for an hour or overnight...Good luck with this. Let me know how it turns out.

Like many plants, most species of grass produce a bright pigment called chlorophyll. Chorophyll absorbs blue light (high energy, short wavelengths) and red light (low energy, longer wavelengths) well, but mostly reflects green light, which accounts for your lawn's color.

Sure it is. Especially if it's Dawn. Dawn will even cut the grease off of your hands after working under the hood. Rinses off easily too.
