Hippy, it is a glorious day here. Actually feels like spring and temps into the mid 70's.

Each season brings forth its own annoyances.. spring will bring the allergies, summer the high humidity, fall ,is almost perfect, then winter is so precarious,one never knows what to expect..

 Perhaps many type plants have the name of Rose of Sharon. I was always under the impression it was a bush with large flowers...what many here call the deep rose colored Alphia Bush.(Not at all sure about the spelling.)

Mine grows to about five feet tall and five feet wide, with apple blossom
shaped flowers. Perhaps there are different varieties.

That is beautiful Sassy. I have seen those and the one I had was the double flower in a deeper pink. I am going to get another one for this yard but want to check with a nursery to make certain I am getting the right thing.. Although, they are all lovely.
