Welcome All to our 3rd year of DH camping!
Piepenburg Park is located on Belle Lake, approximately 7 miles NW of Hutchinson, MN.
We will be camping, starting Friday, May 20 and leaving on Sunday, May 22
We have reserved a shelter, with electric, and RV sites, with electric. The tent sites are on a first come basis, but we will be there early to get those covered.
Firm reservations are needed no later than May 1. After that, the reserved sites will be release to the public. I will follow up with payment info later.

This is a family campground and all rules apply.
This is not a swinging singles meet, unless you want to do that in your own rv/tent/boat.
Cost:
Rv with electric is $22/nite
Tent, non electric is $15/nite
Shelter is $35/day
4 people per unit
2 tents allowed on a tent site
Pets are allowed, on a leash
There is a public boat landing and fishing pier (fishing opener is May 14)
IF you want to come for the weekend or just a night, or even just an afternoon, all are welcome.
Meals, with the shelter having electricity, we have more options.
I'm thinking potluck, unless others have an opinion. Please post ideas.
Please bring your own beverages and snacks.
We will need to buy firewood, due to the ashbore restrictions.
Dress for cool weather, as we will be by the lake. Pack enough blankets for sleeping or think about bringing a small heater.

We had a great time last year, and most of you have already signed up. I missed the first year, but heard it was a great time. Looking forward to meeting up with everyone, meeting new people and making new friends and you never know ...... That's why this is such a great idea and opportunity. okay, dh commercial is done.

Letsing and I are going to share a tent agian this year, but I was hoping to share a spot with HangBelly. We will need electric for heater at night. To cold for my poor back this time of year.
I cant wait to see everyone agian.
Looks like it will be mostly pot luck as normally. So if anyone can help out please post your ideas or what you can bring to share with the group.
In the past we would ask for salids, buns, meats, deserts or what ever you can help out with.
This is going to be a wonderful time.... See you all there.

Ok I am only 20 minutes away do we have to camp out or can we come and go???
With that said what do you need the worst in the way of food I am a great cook, I can do crock pots of roast sliced up in ajus or what salads etc.
a huge homemade cheesecake pumpkin or chocolate?
Maybe both let me know...

I want to bring something to the event but right now it sounds my brother may back out.. meaning i will be tenting instead of having the camper and that will change what i can bring with me.
I wanted to bring some of my mom's potato salad lol yummy.

Also i read on the website for the campgrounds that there is a volleyball pit so i'll bring my volleyball with

FYI, I just posted additional information on the weekend camping thread.
Please let me know, if you haven't already, your choice of campsite.
We have set a deadline of May 1 for the rv/electric sites.
After that time, we will unreserve the unpaid for sites.
The tent sites, I will be there Thursday evening and secure them Friday am.
We can have 3 tents to a site and right now I have 5-6 people tenting.
If you haven't let me know, please do so and I'll reserve a third site.
Everyone must register when entering the campground. Payment will be due at time of checkin.
Day use, don't need to register unless you decide to stay overnight.
Food, still working on that. Thanks for the ideas and offers.
Any questions, please let me know.

It just crossed my mind....
We need people to bring outdoor games..
I have a Bocci Ball game I can bring...
I would advice people to bring chairs to sit around the campfire with &
Blankets, cause it still gets cold at night.
Lanterns or some kind of lighting is very helpful at night.

That works too Ranger! There's a small wooded area between the tents and shelter area, so it wouldn't be much of a chase and you'll have some protection! Hey, we're camping, nothing too lame or juvenile. Lots of word games to do, to get to know each other.

i am still going with still trying to get the motorhome ready for the trip and still get all the work done that i need to get done.looking to have a good trip.
