No, you're not alone. Every so often I clean them all out of my cabinet and take them to a local soup kitchen that also delivers food to shut ins. They are always happy to get them cuz it saves on buying disposable food cartons. (And recycling is good.)

I save the Glad plastic containers that the deli meats come in. They're exactly like the ones I buy to put leftovers in. Seems a waste to throw them away. I never use them, but I keep thinking I may need to. Ever so often, I gather them up and discard them, reluctantly. I don't save the Can't Believe It's Not Butter containers, but have thought about it!

having been a tupperware goddess for 12 years, i know not to reuse oleo and cool whip for containers to microwave my dinners. sorry folks but there are toxic in nature and i read this the other day, don't know if it is tru, but oleo is one molecule away from being plastic. anyone else hear that? but back to my tupperware containsers, how many can i put you down for?????? just kidding, i retired form that but it was a great career!!! i have a greatly organized kitchen. gee i might make a good wife someday

Choosey...that isn't dumb at all!!! I'm so glad I kept my containers..not only do I send home care packages of food to family..but now that I'm remodeling my house..I find that those containers are great for paint..cleaner..etc!!
The care packages makes it easier when it isn't my bowl sets I bought to have here for myself!! Otherwise...I tend to not get em back. This way...they can have em!!

ladyofvictory, I have a tupperware lettuce crisper from 50 years ago. Still works!!
To the ones who think we may be using plastic to microwave, I never do! Just use them for leftovers in the fridge.

All plastic contaners put off toxic fumes when microwaved. Yes even Tupperware. Put your food in glass before you microwave. This is a very old warning.
