Having a child is not a problem for me. The red flag is when she brings the child along for a "first date" situation, or says "X asked me if you're going to be her new daddy" after two weeks. A guy shouldn't meet the child until they're talking about getting serious. The same goes if it's the guy who has the kid. Not fair to the kid. However, it might help to know early if the kid doesn't like you, but everybody's different.

I just had to ask because im 23 with a soon to be 3yr old and its always a big issue. It's not like im trying to find someone to "help me" out or anything like that because thats not the case. i work full time and im taking classes online. it just be nice tho to NOT be single after 3 years...

You get to be a certain age and dating a woman with children is part of the teritory. That being said I don't think I could date a woman with several children say three or more because that would leave little time for us but so long as she was handlin her business anything is possible.

My ex had 3 kids by her late husband when I met her. Honestly you just need to find a good family oriented guy. If you don't want anymore kids your best bet would probably be to focus on guys who already have a kid/kids since they probably won't be wanting more either. But if you're wanting at least one more I don't see why it would be that hard to find a guy.
Just keep I'm mind that even though you're not looking for a father for your kid, you're going to find a guy committed to both of you since you're a package deal.

A as guy with a child, I would, and before I was a father I did date a girl with a kid because if you seem to connect with someone, go for it. It is important to have the child like you and if someone introduces you to their child, its honorable.

i grew up in hackensack went to school there as well .. and yes i would i enjoy kids ... my type of work in with kids all day .. (and for the A. holes out there who think stupid i work at a toy store )its kool to get to see what they like get to hear theyr dreams .. rember we were them once .. i still am .haha hit me up maybe we went at the same time or know ppl .. up to u ..

I have 4 kids one is an adult two are teenagers and my youngest is pre school age. I have spoken with a guy on here who had the audacity to make a big deal about me having kids and he has 3 kids himself smh! I don't deal with that my kids are my world and if anyone has a problem with they can go f themselves. I would rather date a guy with kids because I would hope he would be family oriented but with some guys its not always the case.

Okay, I see both sides of this one. I'll start by saying that I am a single mom with a beautiful 8 year old son who means the world to me. That being said, my ex-husband had two children prior to our relationship. I loved those children as my own, but their mothers were nothing short of psychotic and their attempted power plays contributed to the dissolution of my marriage. I think it really depends on the person and the extent to which their ex is involved. For example, I would not date a man who has children that he no longer has custody of. The complications are varied and extreme. I would, however consider dating a man that has his children in his custody, provided that he is a loving father and adequate provider for them.

At this point I've decided that I would date a woman with a child, even open to the child coming on the date (of course the date would be G rated or it'd be someplace like Dorney Park where the kid can enjoy himself on certain rides while the parents talk, for example). This is with the understanding that the biological father is not in the picture, as things can get very complicated if he is.

It is NOT a matter of care on the woman's part--its a matter of a woman having a child or two---it takes up most all of her time. Not many guys want to wait a week to spend an hour with a woman. Unless a guy wants to seriously be a father figure to the kids and give them and the woman a secure family enviornment. The woman AND the children are a big package that not too many men want to be involved with. BUT--good luck to you.!!

I dated a guy for 6 years, raised his child and no never a good idea if your doing all the work while they sit back and be bums.. Unless it's for a life time/marriage then yes, honestly only serious cuz it's honestly not them your breaking up with but also their kids...

I say depending on the age/ the younger you are and/ or the older one is perhaps, the more someone wants to play w/o either (kids and pets)
