Old school here, and well old,,,,the kids call it somthing else now. Its their day. I do recal wounderfull nights with the Cro-mags, Gwar, Agnostic front, sonic youth and a plethra of underground bands like the Circle jerks, Bad brains and Butthole surfers.
I still like hard core but music is not as much a part of my life as it once was.

I used to listen to the butthole surfers they were pretty cool and metallica,pantera,suicidal tendencies ( they were whacked)but I like them all.Now I listen to a wider range but my fav. is tool and perfect circle.They are awesome musicians

I dig hardcore, though I don't really consider Sex Pistols hardcore. Don't get me wrong, I love Johnny Rotten and the gang, but they are just punk. Now Black Flag is hardcore.

I thought it was simply the Henry Rollins band now, not Black flag.
I saw the Butthole Surfers several years back they opened for Gwar. The most f-uped show i've ever seen. They started with heavy fog and from the fog emerged a topless dancer with her head shaved except a patch of hair above her ear on either side of her head. She eventualy stage dived into the crowd. Then the band came out singing into a megaphone. Over the band they played movies of an operation(vacetimy) and of bugs (locust abortion technition?).
Then Gwar played with their regular abnormality.
I got hit by an organ and my car got toed that night( oops did not pay the lot fee).

It is. I meant to say Black Flag WAS hardcore. Henry Rollins Band isn't nearly as hardcore as Black Flag was.
