My world view boils down to this: people are more important than stuff, truth matters and we do have an obligation to everyone we're sharing space with on this planet.
I talk to strangers, pretty much everywhere I go. I'm an avid reader and writer. I love to explore new places but not to try new restaurants. I enjoy local history, antique car shows, vintage Hot Wheels and movies that make me think. I love to visit the city for the buzz, the music, museums and restaurants and I'm up for a road trip almost anywhere, but for day-to-day life I'm a small town girl (though I wasn't born to it). I love the quiet in the night air, being able to see stars, people taking the time to talk to one another on the street and eating breakfast at the little diner where the waitress knows my name.
I'm not athletic,but I walk miles most days and I'm hoping (perhaps delusionally) to learn to kite surf in time for my 50th birthday.
I'm smart enough that I feel like I have to mention it; it intimidates some people and bores others, so you might as well know up front. I'm 99th percentile+ smart and occasionally a geek. I have a law degree, though I haven't used it in many years, and I take standardized tests for fun. I'm not much of a TV-watcher, but I watched Numbers for the math.
