So i want to create a discussion about how neither science or religion can fully explain our existance. On one hand, god created the earth, all the plants and animals, and then created adam from dirt, and eve from adam's rib. Idk about you, but to me that sounds extremely far fetched. But on the other hand darwinism states that all living creatures are naturally selected and evolved. Religion doesnt clarify how we came to be, and darwinism has been proven fact for every living creature except us humans. If we evolved from primapes, then why have scientists not been able to find the missing link between what us humans are today and have been for thousands of years, and a 3 foot tall monkey that walks upright? Idk what you all think or believe, but there seems to be alot of loose ends here

Road, the idea of a missing link is a fiction. The fossil record can and will never show all the generations back to when humans and apes were brothers. Luckily we now have genetic analysis to back up that fragile record with very strong evidence that we are more closely related to some primate species than they and we are to other primates. As expected we are also more closely related to primates than to, say, goldfish, but genetics tells us that even they are our very distant cousins.
The only issue now surrounds the beginnings of life and the universe. The truth is out there...

The difference is that one of them is actually an explanation, while the other is simply a just-so story.

Evolutionary theory may well be incomplete (although, as another poster correctly pointed out, the incompleteness with regard to the fossil record doesn't mean much since some very specific conditions have to obtain for a fossil to be properly preserved- it isn't like we have access to fossils of every individual to ever have walked the face of the earth, most of their remains simply weren't fossilized), but at least it is the avenue of investigation into the matter with any prospect of success, and we can certainly hope that one day we'll understand the true mystery; the jump from chemistry to biology and the origin of organic life.

In any case, poking holes in evolutionary theory- a favored tactic of proponents of creationism/ID- is a poor strategy, since its not like we have a default alternative- creationism isn't even an option, because it simply isn't a scientific theory, and thus isn't an explanation in the relevant sense- but, as I said, a just-so story, which has very limited value or utility (mostly poetic). If evolutionary theory turned out to be false, we wouldn't be left with creationism, we'd be left with nothing at all and it'd be back to the drawing board. Fortunately enough, there are few, if any, scientific theories as successful, and enjoying the same degree of evidentiary confirmation, as evolutionary biology, so lets not despair yet.

It is proven that we are 98% genetic matches to chimps. The 2% that is left, is what separates us from our shit slinging ancestors. For some reason, when that 98% is used in all other aspects of our lives, it is accepted as fact. The exception is evolution. The reason why Darwinism explains everything else except for humans is not because is it not explainable, its because the explanation is not accepted. We are no different from any other species. We all share similar elements that make us who we are. Those same elements are found everywhere on earth, and all over the universe.

One thing you'll learn about creationism is that when they say "it can't occur or happen" it really means it can or has already.
