I'm no expert, so I'll just shoot from the hip on this one.
I feel that it's genetically wired into guys to get with as many females as they can... a sort of auto perpetuation of the species. What most men want, differs severely from what most women want. I feel the philosopher Niche hit the nail on the head when he stated "what he wants in life is 'I will do it', what she wants in life is 'he will do it'". Not trying to be biased, just sharing my observations.
This is to say yes, most men just want friends with benefits, and trust me, best friends they shall be, just so long as there isn't any pressure to be someone they are not. I'm not sure females enjoy being pushed into molds either. Relationships are nothing more than unspoken promises to look after one another, but there's no validity towards such a proposition. It's unreasonable to expect to be the world to someone else, or to make someone else the world to you, not to mention unattainable.
I happen to LOVE personality, it's the spice of life imho. Looks are nice, but not essential, I love bigger women, and hot chicks tend to have overtly solipsistic attitudes. The more you play nice, the better most encounters will flow.
I can't speak for most men, as I don't tend to put up with the same amount of bs that most men do for intimacy, but it seems to me men and women have a huge failure to communicate. Women would like to be made to think they aren't being taken advantage of, and Men don't want to feel like they HAVE to do anything, including stay in any kind of relationship. Problem is, men hide this idea of not wanting to be in a relationship so they can take advantage of women to a point, and that's why I feel a majority of relationships don't last.
All in all, give me a call, and we can talk heavy about this for hours... maybe even get a playtime break in ^_^

IMO you always start as friends, you cant just jump into something and make it work, there's gotta be that chemistry.. And the benefits part is always a plus to take care of needs that both the man and woman have, so that where it turns into friends with benefits, some work out and some don't..

I'm getting too old for giving advice to the younger gen. but it might help if you rotate your pics so you don't become a pain in the neck to those who would take the time to see what you look like, OP..., Just saying...

Is a sign of the times. Don't give in to it. You're better and smarter than they are.

Well let me say that personally I am looking for either. Just depends on the girl. If she can hold a decent conversation and put up with my crap lol. She's worth trying to have a relationship with. But if she's dumber than a box of rocks the maybe just friends or friends with benefits. Personality is key with out that you are just a fwb.
