I don't really like that piece of paper too that says you are married.
I think a marriage should just be between the man, woman, and God. Perhaps a pastor to orchestrate the ceremony.

Is anybody else at the point where they are secure in themselves and their lives and really just wanna find a good person to settle down with and marry? I find I'm totally fine being alone but my heart desires someone, and I want my kids to have a real family.

Married once 11 yrs. BAD. Divorcee now 14 yrs.
I would llike to find the love of my life and settle down... but I am not sure the paper is worth it.
Personally, a vow is a vow ... just as a promise is a promise ... and neither should be broke ...
I'd be content just saying our vowels on the beach under a moonlit night with a friend or two as witness and call it good.
I am not changing my last name however, sorry.
Now saying all that makes me wish I had someone to cuddle up too...

I was married once, it lasted for 21 years, she said she wasn't happy and left me
and the three children, they are all grown now, so here i sit all alone. Tried dating
once but that stop a long time ago. I would enjoy finding a lady who truly understands
what true love is, maybe i am to picky but if all the women are like my ex-wife, then
i will stay single till i die but maybe all women aren't the same, who knows.

I think I would. Having that family setting again would be nice. I was married for 10 yrs and I loved it , it was the cheating spouse that ruined it . With me being a single parent father, it would be nice to find that missing link in our lives. But it would take a woman that ROCKS my world , for me to want to take that walk down the Isle. It would surely beat this dead end dating! Until then ,,I just have to wait for that world Rocker! lol!

Once you've been married there are certain parts of course you want to do again.
The closeness feeling of belonging to someone, the knowledge that when you come home someone will be there for you. Knowing that when you go to sleep at night you are not sleeping alone and of course the love making. All of these will make a person want to try it again. You have to be careful you do not repeat past mistakes. that is probably what I'm the most worried about cuz I sure do not want anyone like my ex's.
I'm ready but with reservations.
