I take you have fried up a batch or two of puffballs? I cooked some years ago. I can't remember for certain, but I must not have liked them, my mouth didn't water when I spied them! These are huge, a few are about 2' across. I swear they were not there yesterday!

Pretty sure the monitor will be going into the shop, so maybe a few days. I booted the works twice, unhooked and rehooked everything twice. I just hope it's not a gonner. But, I guess losing the monitor is not as bad as if it were the pc. So, yea! To that! LOL.

Yes, Reboot Store has good products at good prices. It is a Goodwill computer store, donated computer equip is cleaned up, inside and out, and resold. My next will come from there.

You guys are lucky if you can find a deal in your local Goodwill stores!
I took a client to a Goodwill store once. I thought the prices were terrible! There was clothing that had store tags still on them, and the goodwill tag was about $3 higher. My people could not afford to shop there. Around here it's a racket, I believe. They have built 2 huge new stores in the nearest city. I give to Salvation Army. This is my rant on this topic! Sorry, forgive me!

With the University here, I think selection might be better in ways. Ex was a bargan store shopaholic,,,I've found shirts I never even knew I had, some fit , some will end up back at good will.
I've always given stuff to GW, but always got a reciept for tax purposes.
The last pleasant thing my ex said to me was "Look at this nice coat I got for $5.00". I immediately asked for a divorce, she already had a dozen nice coats, and I new it wasn't going to get any better.

I guess I feel that is a store has "Goodwill" as it's name and everything in it is donated, they could share a bit more cheaply! I have been to one in CR with my daughter, and things were cheap. But, I have this thing with smells, and everything in the store has a smell that I cannot get out of my nose. I know......
On the other hand, a few years back, my bedroom smelled of "old people". This really worried me because of association and the fact that I am getting there.... but when I was cleaning off the balcony, I discovered bats living on the other side of the screen. I was so happy the smell wasn't me!

i dont shop at goodwill either i wont even donate my stuff to them either, iowa city has so many thrift shops that are better than goodwill. there is one that i go to all the time to buy me shirts because they are 75 cents each and i go elsewhere to buy my pants they have a better selection there for pants for me. sorry goodwill your reboot store is about the only place i buy your stuff.

Liked GWs tax write off advantage. when I came off the road I donated 3 boxes of books on tape to the library, took a $2000.00 write off. Needed a bed frame, metal cheapo, ended up paying 30 bucks at Stuff, thought it was high. I don't like to shop. Accept prices just to get it over.LOL.

i love garage sales i can talk people down in there prices and get some things free when i do yard sales. i have a friend that just hates going with me because she always pays full price and i pay less than.

you remember payless lumber yards here awhile back i bought a oak framed mirror for a friend for 20 bucks it cost $60 i got it for that press because about one inch of the frame was kinda rough but who cares you are only going to see it if you are looking for it and you kinda had to feel for it too. my friend couldnt believe it, he had to tell everyone about it. that made it kinda hard for about six months to do any bartering.

oh my word i love garage sales. All these years I have been looking for a bumper sticker that says Beware this car breaks for garage sales. It is so me if i see a sign my foot automatically goes to the break. lmao getting older so not as bad as i use to be. I do the same i ask if they will take less and if they will not not even one thing I will put back all that I have and leave without anything even if it was something i wanted. If their prices are that of stores i walk away soon as i see that. The day I bought my pickup ( yes this is the reason i have a pickup) something needed to be fixed on it he told me to go to the shop in 2 hours. I said np town wide garage sales are on i can keep busy. So when I got to the shop his mouth droped open I had the back bed of pickup full (picnic table) and the extended cab full hehehhe remember I have 6 kids and 14 grandkids so most of the stuff is for them. Still have that picnic table too lol. I even stopped at a thrift store today on the way home. Got a tuscan wall candle holder really cool and a tuscan holder for my cooking utincels for by the stove ( was wanting one that cost $60 but this will work just as good got it for $2 hehehe and sea foam for pickup. So I got stuff that would have cost $130 for $20.  and all stuff that I will use not just let lay around.

lol looked like sheldon was having town wide garage sales today. It was so tempting but i did refrain. I had to go to get powerwashing hoses and couplings the guys where waiting at the job site for me so i couldn't stop  ! I was tempted to go back but it was along ways out of my way.

doesn't that feel good when you get deals like that? Now auctions they are a whole different ball game. People are STUPID! At a aution I have seen so many things go for 2-3x what you can buy them for brand new or just the oppoisite something go for 50cents when it would have cost $50. You have to be so careful you never know what kind of group it is going to be. I set a price in my head that I will pay and stop at that point. But you would never know it I put up this face or posture that dude you want to bid against me well your going to lose and i'm going to walk away with this item heheheh It sure works most of the time too.

Thats too bad...The 30's group gets along like family..We're all a pretty tight knit group...We welcome in the n00bs, (as long as they arent being an ass), sure we have our differences know and then. But, we get it squashed, as things go back to normal..
If I hadnt found that group and posted with a couple of people, I would have deleted last year..So glad they asked me to stay.

I really feel like b*tching! I am so sick of people that lie! I just wish I could tell you all my story. I feel like crying, screeming (and i don't screem) yelling (and I don't do that either). Isn't anyone real? I know I think I will hire someone to find me a man. Love and feelings stay out of it. Heck that is how it was done way back when parents would pick out who you married and you married them. I'm sure they ended up likeing and maybe even loving each other somewhere along the line. Okay who is going to volenteer to pick someone out for me. lololol what no volenteers? This is how it will work. I am going to give you my list of what I want (not a long one either). Thank you all I really do need it. Last night the cop stopped by to arrest ME good lord I about had the big one. Guess there is a bad check out there. Hum I can't wait to see who signed my name. Even if it is my signature it went bad because of the 7 checks she wrote out signing my name and did'nt tell me about. So now I have several choices of what to do about this. I do not like the one thought about turning her in so going to have to think long and hard over it. Taking my pickup back from her tonight ! It is going to be a odd day today that is forsure.
