I have never quit a job without another lined up! Always needed the money. But, then, in retrospect, I haven't had that many different jobs and I have been working since I was 13. When I quit this one, that's it! I'm retired! Yippie!

Mostly that Im not trapped at work..Seriously,..fresh air, going out for a nature hike, coming across a hawk, few deer..Quietness..it peaceful, and relaxing..
Could you live in a cabin out in the middle of nowehere, or not..why..??

I spent 12 years moving families. Iwas moving a family out of an apt building. A very attractive lady came out the door, Iwas going to strut my stuff. Took a med sized recliner flipped it upside own over my head, Remembered how filthy the house was, and just kept on going right over backwards. By the time I got uprighht the babe was long gone.

Few years ago I moved to North Carolina. Fresh out of a 5 year relationship..Second week there my best friend, his wife, and I went to a Pub downtown...Having a few drinks, ate some pizza, etc..
Best friends wife leaves the table, Im thinking she's off to the restroom. next thing I know, she's pulling my arm and dragging me over to this HUGE group of people, and one gal laughing kind of looking my way. Friends wife says "Shes single and her name is.."
I was just dumbfounded, wasnt expecting that at all!..Totally froze, and made an a** out myself...
Ever get stuck in an unfriendly situation...and how did you react..??

Nice story, Java. Those are usually fun to look back on, ie; what I should have said was...
My first reaction to this question would be, yes, I was married to one for 20 years, then I left!
I am pretty good at diffusing situations and can't remember anything that got out of hand. But, if this was a question of strange/awkward/embarrassing, I do have a ton of them.

Yes, met a woman, we went for pizza, I was interested, the more I got to know the more red flags went up. Can you say "Run, Boy, Run". I just let her know we could be "Pub Pals". She has earned the nic name "Minnie the Mooch". The is also the phrase "He just got Tammyed", referrs to her habit of making up to a guy, drinking his money, going to the bathroom and disappearing, leaving him to wonder what happened.
Needless to say, we are not pals, and yes I got Tammyed, not wounded, but more humor than anything else.LOL

A married couple that are very good friends of mine, were down on their luck. Kids going to school, and so was the couple. Well the state of Iowa changed their rules on Finacial Aid, and the couple had to stop going to community college. They were both despreatly trying to find work.
I had come to Des Moines and spend the weekend with them, and found all this out. The next morning before they woke up, I snagged the keys to their car,and filled it with gas. Along with stashing an envelope with 75% of the cash I had in my wallet. And a note telling them to go get grociers for the kids.
(Couple now both have jobs and are doing fine)
Ever performed a random act of kindness..?? If so, what did you do..??

Always!!! but the one I remember the mast is thaking a homeless family I saw on the streets with a 18 month old living out of a small truck home with me they stayed for three months till they got a job and an apartment and able to provide for their lil girl, took care of her the whole time for free to so they didn't have to worry about daycaye and set them up with a worker that could help them when they needed it...

My one I just don't trust those organizations,,Alot of them turn out to be frauds..When I do it I atleast know exactly where my money is going....I do alot of thing to help others out. Around christmas I bake a couple houndred dozen cookies to pass out to people that I think would be happy to even get just a hug...The elderly homes are fun to I take my boys sometimes and just walk the halls and the patients just get all excited and just happy because someone thought about them and that their not forgotten.
They just love the kids, they like to watch them run around and play. It puts a smile on everyones face...
Would you give money to a man standing on the corner or give him food? Why?

Yes I have...Was at a McDonalds once in Des Moines, and a drifter was sitting outside asking for change...When I went in and orderd, I bought him a meal also and gave it to him. Told him to go inside, warm up and eat.
Kindness has to be passed on, someday, that might be me, or maybe Ive been in a tight spot before...
My parents and I were at the grocery store once when I was young. They checked out and left me there by accident...
Has this happened to you..?? What happened..??

Yes my mom and I were at Lindale Mall and I got seperated from her and it took them some six hour to find her she had gone home and completlt forgot about me... I ended up in foster care after that....

I have jumped and glided, bungee jumping however, I have to draw the line, that's just scary. I give myself a big adrenalin rush every morning after too much coffee!
Had an adrenalin rush the other night. It's kind of freaky to be in a dark hallway, hear a noise and notice three eyeballs glowing at you. It takes a few seconds to remember there is no animal with three eyes. Just two cats and one has only one eye. I know.....

I would try to be more "needy". My daughters keep telling me that I will never find a man because I am not "needy" enough..... just kidding... I don't need a man!

But, you know it comes out sooner or later and not often in good ways because we never forget even if the other person does. It's difficult at times to be open, we have to trust that the person will understand what we want/try to say and won't take it wrong or think less of us. Trust is such a valuable thing and so easy to lose.
My favorite evening would consist of a guy standing at my door with a big grin and 2 fishing poles, saying, "Let's go!" Nothing says sexy guy like going fishing on a summer evening!

Remember going with my Dad out on the road over the summers. Traveling from Iowa, to the Califonia coast, back to Iowa and maybe sometimes down to the south eastern states. By the time I was 18, Id already seen 2/3 of the USA...
