We're Atheists. How in the world could religion possibly define someone who doesn't believe in it?

It would be like a chemist defining computer terms. He might have some insight on the subject, but we wouldn't go to him asking for networking assistance

Religious people always want to define atheism as a religion. When they have run out of "rational" explanations for their beliefs they fall back on "well, atheism is a religion too". And then us atheists all feel like huge hypocrites for being a part of something that we are supposed to be against. Clever religious folks

The only problem with atheists when dealing with religion, are those stupid sons of b*tches who treat it like a religion. It's those people who ruin it for everyone...and hardcore Catholics.

The same people who call atheism a religion are usually the same people who say mormons (church of jesus christ of later day saints) are not christians. They are the same people who say buddhism isn't a religion, and they are the same people who consider yoga to be satanic, these people can't get their facts straight and just don't know what they're talking about.

Nice title. Atheism is something I don't even like to think of as an ism. Labeling and grouping everything just leads to generalized inaccuracy.

Paraphrased from Ricky Gervais:
Atheism is as much a religion as not skiing is a hobby. It's my favorite activity. I never ski.

It's like Jeet kune do, use what's relevant to you, what pertains to you, screw the rest.

If I'm gonna fly a plane, should I go to helicopter school too? No. Should I try flying a kite? Wtf for?

It's irrelevant to the task at hand. Besides take off and landing, it's basically all autopilot these days anyways. Even a drunk pilot can seem like a hero if you make a dramatic movie about it.

I'm not gonna wait til I'm some old fart to decide I should have done this, or I should have done that, who cares what everyone else is doing.

All they do is cloud up your mind with needless worries and distract you from what matters to you in life.

Loving your life, and living one worth remembering.

What sucks is, religious people want you to come to bible study, because it's soooo complicated. But they won't take the time to study you.
