It is my work schedule and my dislike of making people angry (my boss) that I am delayed in seeing my chiro. She wanted me in yesterday. I went for an hour and a half massage and it helped some. Anyway no working no money. Sometimes i feel like such a wimp. (Reason I am in therapy lol) Thank you for the good wishes.

Gees, Barb, sorry for your pain, hope you get it taken care of soon. It always seems to take three days to recover after going. I would think any employer should let you off for an hour for an appointment, that is not good policy at all on their part.
On a brighter note, in a year or so, you should be able to retire and work only part time, if you want to!

Sorry to hear that Barb! It is my lower back for me I have a high pain tollerence but it is killing me. I have no excuse though for not going. Just that I do not want to leave the house today been gone everyday since I got back from vacation  Been popping pain pills and Ibprophen to get me tell Monday. Yes I have ex's pain pills hehehe! I grew up in a family where everyone shared meds. A habbit I brought to my own family. Which is how I learned my oldest daughter is just the opposite of me in beable to take meds. Everything she takes has to be in really small doeses. Once my aunt gave my oldest a valuim it scared me so bad that I called the abulence. She was just fine. She gets migranes also and if her husband is off fishing or not around and she has to go to hospital which is maybe 1 1/2 blocks away to get a shot. I have to drive 45 min. to go pick her up and take her to her house that is how those shots effect her she can't even function. Isn't it strange how gentics are different. A gene can lay dormite for generations them bam there it is. Well going to go walk on treadmill now that the pain pill is working hoping that will help some on the back. Hey barb come and visit me and we will give eachother a massage  ! Which reminds me you should talk to someone you work with and see if you guys and switch out and give each other a massage 2-3 times a week for while you work there or even once a week after you get those muscles losened up. It would help your back from not going out and help because of the job you are doing. Found out that most massage people have problems with back because they never ever get a massage themselves   ! Have a great day and really do not be afraid to ask someone my guess is that they will LOVE the idea!!!!!!!!

Izabo, you are quite the creative business woman. I did go to a fellow classmate for an hour and a half massage which I melted in. I realized it was my pelvis becuase I got off the table and the butt still hurt. I am going to my chiro which is an hour from where I am. Do not have the money to establish myself with a new chiro here. We are bartering adjustment for massage. More aspirn. Monday coming soon. At least when I am massaging the pain goes away (sort of).

Oh and if you drop in a conversation here and there what you are planning well nothing lost only gained lol. Just make sure you have those business cards of yours handy when they ask for them hehehe Yes it wouldn't surprise me if your doctor goes for the trade. You tell me other then those people who do not like to be touched will turn down a massage? If they do this is what they need to be

Izabo, being your own boss also means "I can take care of myself" because you do what it takes to stay in business. Me I like my 4-6 hr days, mostly doing what I enjoy. I'm lucky in that aspect. But I realize not all are built for self employment. Barb analize your working arrangement withyour current "Employer". I assume you are an employee and not a contractor, the rules are very different.,,,Hey, gotta keep the lights on,,,at least part of the night.

That is how most massage theropist work it out you get a cut from the jobs you do. So this is not a far stretch from having your own business. Do you have a writen contract with your boss saying that you can not do massages on your own? If not your free to do some on the side which is awesome because you can start to build your clintall while still working for your boss. Barb if you ever want some advise or help let me know I will give you my cell no. and help you through some of this it really is easy just time concuming getting your business built up. They say it takes 2 years to get your business built up. Which you are in the perfect position to do that. Working for someone else and yet able to work for yourself too. Once you get enough of your own clintal you will beable to quite working for your boss. Sooner you start this the sooner you will be on your own. So figure 2 years from the time you start.

In managing your own business always remember "CASH" is king...no billing expense, no waiting for payment, andyou use your own judgement as to how much is profit and how much never happened. 
I always figure that "if" I paid some one cash and they chose to not pay taxes on it, say $10 per hr, it was the equivalent of them being paid $14 per hr after taxes were paid in.
If I hire some work done and they do not discount it for cash then I am sure to write them a check, and not hire them back unless there is no choice.
So by my convoluted reasoning, I will offer to do jobs for 10% less if it is paid in cash the same day. Do not like to let people run a tab with me, had a couple of IOU s out there that I need to collect, small ones tho. And if they are friends I will work for BEER  .

Shopping,,I do it because I have to,,now I don't mind shopping for tools. Yesterday, I had a flat tire on my truck . Luckily my stepson was with me, we had to dig all the tools out of the back seat of the truck, and get the screw jack out. bBrian set it up, while I spun the lug nuts off. We got it done in good order, but it would have been easier with a floor jack.
So, brian and I drive up to Cedar Rapids to Harbor Tools. I purchase the jack I want for $89.99,,,In todays Sunday paper their flier has it on sale for $59.99.

I tried to edit my reply but it was lost.
The saleskid , did give me somekind of discount, but tied it to a year extended warrenty.
With the year warrenty and discount, it cost $80, a savings of $9. So by the time I drive 25 miles each way, and am tempted to buy more( I really like tools), it would not be much cheaper. LOL at me.

Izabo I understand. I had two different individuals begin to chat with me (understand this does not happen frequently for me) and they each were deleted. I had begun to believe they were scammers and then disappeared. I know it was not there doing because their email from my message box deleted also. So disappointing. Beginning to believe if interested in me they must be fake.

Face to face is wonderful,,,IF,,,you know where people your age hang out. I've managed to work my way thru the possibles that I've met face to face. No luck, must be my toothy grin.. It is all good. I ask, they say no, I do not wonder if I'm missing the one because I'm not bold enough.. It's all good. Only 7 more to go!!!. I've got to ask the cashier at the dental college. She already knows I got no front choppers

I'm putting a full bath in my basement, and my renter is a carpenter from Il, so he is doing the work in lieu of rent. It is going to be way nicer than I planned. I am going nuts with making adjustments and changes. Bought a Delta tub shower with surround. Its a newer design so that the floor of tub sits off the floor of the roon a bout 4 inches, someone over 6 ft would be right up to the ceiling. Darn I need to return it. An annoyance for sure. I'd like to get're done this weekend, but will have to wait for rain to go away. another annoyance, but it will get done.

i need to borrow a pick up and a person and i am finding out that everyone wants money to help out. i guess i know where karma needs to do some work. heck i can pay for gas but thats not what the person wants they want $100 plus their time per hour and the materials i need to pick up and spread cost less then that hell ill do the work you can sit on your as for nothing cant you?

UPDATE: The purse was found lol. That day I must have come home and put it on the counter then daughters cat who can be a pain must have jumped up on the counter and knocked my purse off into the garbage can. Which I had taken out the bag. The next time I took out the bag there was some paper under it I grabbed that and under it was my purse. 
The weather is horrible here we had ice storm for 2 days then snow.

I am wondering if all this news coverage on any of the tragedies contributes to post stress disorder for the ordinary citizen. I just feel that they over do it. this is not to take away from the horror. I just feel we are being injured again. yes I have turned my television off.

I agree, Barb. Too much. When a terrible thing happens, the media goes overboard interviewing the victims, asking the same questions over and over. People need some time to grieve, to be able to sort out what happened and they are barraged with media.
I think the media coverage also puts ideas into the minds of warped individuals. They have not caught whoever did this yet, and whoever it is, is sitting around, watching and listening, thinking they are some kind of rock star. Then when they are caught, there will be more coverage.

Would you explain that? Although I do have a idea of what you are talking about I think not sure.
Example: Went out on a date. Went to his son's ball game. The team went to a pizza place after. Teammates sat together and parents/adults together. Several tables for the adults. I wasn't the parent but dates ex was there not a issue got along with her great. At the table where three other woman besides me and the dates ex. Personality very different. One reminded me of a farmers wife. She wasn't into the game playing and didn't involve herself in the conversation unless it was about sports lol she liked her sports. 2nd one was one that seems she wants to make everyone happy but a want to be. I mean if she thought someone was important or had money she wants in that circle. 3rd Was one that wants to out do the Jone's and barged about everything house, job, husbands job etc.
Now myself I do not like sports at all. So added no comment on that. When there was something said I tried to say something on it. Lady no. 1 didn't say anything to me. Not because she was a snob but because we had nothing of interest that we knew of. No. 2 tried to bring me into conversation I give her credit for that. Her attention was focused on lady no. 3. I kind of felt sorry for her no. 2 wished she would have had more self esteem. Now lady no. 3 asked me ? why I was there about my relationship etc all in away to try and make me feel uncomfortable. I smile because in remembering I seen what she was doing right off the bat. That was it for awhile then out of the blue she turns to me and says I bet you feel really uncomfortable here. I'm sorry I couldn't help but smile and chuckle a little. My answer was "no not at all. I have no interest in sports, I know none of the people you are talking about and my business is power washing hog confinements no interior decorating. I will be more then happy to talk about something that I have a interest in if you would like." Her comment was you have your own business?" After I answered yes she turned and didn't speak to me again.
Now I did talk a lot to my date and to his ex which several times I did get up and go sit by her to talk to her. I liked her a lot a little flighty but nothing wrong with that.
All 4 women had different personalities. I understood all of them which rolls they play and how they think (talking general terms).
Now at that table where the men of the women. I tried to evaluate them but could not.
All my life I have gotten along with boys then men much more then women. I think it is because they do not play games. Where some women can and do play them. Which as you can tell by my statement to lady no. 3 I do not play games.
I get along with women a lot more now. I can tell the game players from those who are not. So I choose to have those that are not the game players as friends.
I have read your profile and you seem like a woman who knows what she wants, down to earth, who is not a game player and smart.
So I am thinking when you say you do not understand women what you mean is that you do not like a lot of them who are game players or just don't like their personality not that you do not understand them.?
Now please explain men to me. Just as I think I have them figured out I DON'T.

And you are right, understanding wasn't the right word concerning women. Like you, I have been around men all my life. I was the only girl child ( the only child as far as that goes) on a large cattle ranch growing up. My childrens father was a biker and our rural home was the gathering place for 20 men and more. My EX was a straw boss of a fiber optic crew conisting of 18 men and I traveled the country with him and his crew. And usually the only woman. I bartended for 20 years in a neighborhood bar whose main customers were railroaders and factory workers. I later bought same said bar and owned it for 6 years. I have always been considered one of the boys and after gaining their trust AND respect I was privy to their thoughts and conversations and taught the man code. Men are far more easier to get along with and understand as they are not about the emotional and the drama that most of my gender seem to be. And quite frankly a male is far more trustworthy then any female friend I have ever had outside of one. And she could be my clone. Now theres a scary thought.

I just saw a c*ckroach in my apartment. It appeared to be coming out of the electrical outlet. I am majorly distressed. Call manager - waiting on her return call.

yup thats how they get from one apt to the next so when they spray yours they will head to someone elses and when they spray that one they will come back to yours need to spray the whole building to slow them down some. good luck
