I suppose you mean Chanterelles? There is no particular picking season, so to speak.
You may want to post your food topic question in the Foodies group, too. Someone there may be into mushrooms.

Go online and look at magic mushrooms. Or purchase a handbook.
Enjoy. Dry and make tea, start at 2 grams dried schrooms.

If you don't know what they are, DON'T eat them, if you're lucky you might trip your balls off, if not you'll be very ill or dead. They have several websites naming the different species and books as well to help ID them but the best thing to do is find an experienced picker and go with them for a trip or two.
