Hi...Just wondering if any DH'rs are into my favorite passtime of looking for precious metals? I prospect for gold in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, and hopefully soon..Arizona.
Great way to spend your time...keeps you in shape, good people, good to be in nature...

I’ve thought about it OP, but haven’t done it yet. It is a good outdoor hobby. There is a gold bearing strip coming down in Alabama and running through north Georgia and the Carolinas. They used to mine commercially here, but that stopped years ago when the California gold rush began. Because of the high price of Gold now, however, some companies are looking into coming back into this region; they are already back into the Carolinas. People used to go panning for gold in a stream in north Georgia, and they say you could sometimes get a hundred dollars a day of gold. And that was years ago, but with the price now, it would be a lot more than that now, definitely worth your while.
