WELCOME TO MY WORLD,,,,It's almost 4 am. Went to bed at about 10 last night. Usually I leave my phone in the kitchen, but for some reason I brought it into the bedroom last night. It started ringing at 1am, first thought, wow a desperate damsel in distress, so I let it ring until it quit.,... Damn it started ringing again, second thought, she must really need me, so what the hell I crawled out of bed and answered. CRAP, it was Earl, my son's boss. The hwy patrol had arrested a truck driver, and Earl needed me to go out to the interstate and drive the driver's truck to Earl's yard for safe keeping.
So here I am, awake and no one to pat on the tush and say "hon, are you awake"
So Morning to all my early bird friends.

PS, Harder I still have one arm without teeth marks. Loosing my front teeth Fri, makes it "harder" to escape.

That it would, my friend!

I had a busy week, happy it is over. I was thinking about the amount of money huge department stores are spending advertising "Veteran's Day" sales. What does a sale have to do with our Veterans? I think it would be better to honor them by giving the Veterans 80% off their purchases. I have a feeling the stores would still make money, just buy not using it for advertising.

Now that was a rude awakening larr. You should have told him payment for waking you up and helping out was for him to find a good women for you

I agree with you harder it seems all holidays are comercialised. It would be a much better world if they did give to what the holidays are to really stand for!

My day well feeling sorry for myself. I need to get out! My plans where to go sit in a bar tonight for a couple drinks but daughter didn't go to her mom's so that is canceled. Not feeling to bad about it though I would have really felt totally out of place. Was just going to do it to push myself to meet people. I am kind of glad I excaped the bullet

What I really would have like to do is go to a renaissance or a pow wow get together. I love that kind of stuff and have not done either. Even dressing up for the renaissance would be fun! I know i'm wierd .

Well think I am going to go outside for awhile to get rid of this icky feeling. See if I can push that lonely feeling away for another day lol. I now know what it means to live one day at a time.

There's always time for a nap! Just try not to get used to it, or you will need one everyday!

I seem to always get going and then no time for a nap until 5,,,dangerous time to nap,, be up too late then.
Today, when I get started, I'll run out to the country and empty the truck, then fill it with scrap
The cycle begins again tomorrow, need to pick up a snow blower my cousin in w Iowa bought and I'm delivering to him this weekend.

Hope everyone had a nice Holiday.

Is it time for everyone to begin Christmas shopping? I really hate shopping, so I end up giving cash.... and socks! I have always given socks, until last year. I noticed way to many different kinds of socks and all very expensive! There were too many choices... long socks, thick socks, trouser socks, steel toe socks, short socks, shorter socks, socks that didn't look like they cover anything but the toes, socks with toes. But no all cotton socks! Everything was only partially cotton. I was confused and didn't know what to buy.

It was amazing to me to find out that everyone really looks forward to getting socks. Everyone had been disappointed, so this year, I have to stock up, because when I asked what they wanted this year, I was told, "Socks!"

Money is what I end up giving now. It used to be fun to buy cheap trinkets for the little kids. I do not believe they cared what it was, as long as there were a lot things to unwrap, and it was always so much fun to watch them shake and squeeze the packages. Now, the kiddos are way to fussy for the crap I like to buy.

The 5 I'll contribute to their funds are 3 step g'kids and my son's twins. I'll put in what I can afford with in reason. then I'll get some tinkets for the twins, the boy is easy, any thing with wheels, Chloe on the otherhand is a bit tougher. I'll stop by the pawnshop, sometimes electronic gadjets on bargan prices, and a tool or 2 for me

I was out at the scrap yard yesterday and heard a gunshot off in the distance, then another dozen more reports, hope it was a group of hunters shooting at a herd, if not a herd, then it was a group of piss poor shooters, lol.

Hello, my day is a normal day for someone who gets dirty. I work with rotten grain. We are trying to prepare two barges of burnt soybeans to be sent overseas.
Day is going real smooth when my supervisor turned it all around.
"Don go inside that bin and knock the standing beans down." I get inside start doing. I am chipping away at this tall tower of burnt soybeans. A bean flies off the pile hitting me square in the eye. I cannot see out of it. It burns from the oily residue on the bean. I push the bean to the corner of my eye and nose. There I start to remove it. That is when the side of beans falls on top of me. Knocking me down and covering my legs. I crawl out of these beans then out of the silo. My supervisor and the 3 other guys I work with start laughing hysterical.
I asked," what is so funny?" There response was," are you sure you had white parents!!" I was covered with black ash from head to toe. Smelling like a huge burnt soybean. That was my day.

Well folks, yesterday was just fine, started striping down a pull behind camper for the scrap, and made a good start on it. I want to get it done in a week, I'm not sure I'll make any real money on it, but I'll learn if it is posible to do so. Just hope this education doesn't have a high tuition. lol

I went shopping for Christmas gifts today, from 10am until 5pm. I had a list and only bought what was on it. I just don't understand why there is no one store that could provide me with everything on the list! I hate shopping.

My poor Hobbit feet are very resentful that they had to wear "real" shoes for all of those hours.

Did my running around by noon, got a hair cut, just the sides please
I went out to the yard and did some more scrapping on the camper, making progress.
Dropped my trailer off at my stepson's, he'll load it and I'll haul it in,,,he gets a third...need more loads like this.
Tired, but had dinner at a Chineese restraunt I'd been wanting to try. Food and the company was good.
Bed time.

We never got any snow, it threatened a couple times but didnot deliver.
My day was a bit different than expected. My daughter n law dropped the twins off (9). The girl, Chloe, is a handful, acting out and challenging. Took them out to the scrap yard with me. They were bored until I gave them hammers and let them demolish the interior of a camper I'm striping out. Dad showed up, dropped off some junk and loaded up a few keeper items. He and I could have stood there all daay and talked.. Sent them on their way and went home for a nap.

I bet the kiddos had fun, Larr! Good for you for keeping them busy!

I have no energy since it snowed. I have looked at the snow and at the shovel. I don't want to shovel. I should have done it when it was fresh, because now it's crunchy, so I am leaving the shovel at the bottom of the steps, thinking if anyone wants to visit, they can shovel a path in. If not, I hope it melts.

Sent the 2 of them with my son, hopefully I'll have a snow blower byFeb .
I still have my shovel, it even fits my hands.

I started another project (rolling eyes) me and my projects always seem to end up to be a lot of work lol. So now I am moving rooms and it involves 4 rooms sigh........
Livingroom right now is livingroom and exercise room. Upstairs is a so called empty room that is not empty lol, toy room that has toys from infant to age 6, and daughters bedroom that she won't sleep in. So going to put my bedroom upstairs into the not so empty room. Make the toy room into a room that is age 8 user friendly with her office desk and arts and crafts up there. Then live the living room that but rearange it. Make my bedroom the exersice room. Been working on this project, booking jobs, cleaning house, doing laundry, son stopped over, daughter is sick been home from school for 3 days oh and ordered myself a Logitech G600 mouse today after taking the time to find which is the best gaming mouse for me. Good day for the most part. The project will cont.

I've been hauling scrap out of my stepson's mother in law's farm for a week and a half this will be load #5, should be finished today. It's the ravine the just keeps on giving. lol
Unbelievable weather, I'll be able to hideout in doors when it turns real cold.
I've got basement bathroom started, but on hold while the weather is good and I've got scrap to do. I have a new plummer in mind as the last one was gouging me.
My hands and wrists look like I've been in a cat fight, sharp metals and old wire.
You all have an interesting day.

So this means I will probably be taking a trip to Sioux Falls to go pick one up today which is around 2 hours one way . Been thinking of starting a new business or maybe a few of them at one time lol. Have a couple of idea's. Lord the things I do so I do not have to go out in the real world and work hahahaha.

Yesterday I had two Morom female missionaries stop by. It was too cold to sit outside to talk so I invited them in. They wanted to be of service. My apartment is a diaster due to the cleaning project I began. Instead I said they could let me practice reflexology on their feet. Here they thought they would be cleaning my apartment. I do not know a lot since I have only had two classes. We had a great visit and I got to do some of my homework. They also took a couple of things I was going to give to Goodwill. I so appreciate their visit.

Wow Barb you do impress me!! It is nice to see someone be nice to people that come to the door even if it is not what you believe in to treat another human being with respect and kindness shows a lot about who you are. There are so many people that will not do that. My mother was one of them. She would go hide or send me to the door and tell me to tell them that she wasn't there. When she would leave the house she told me if the witnesses came to the door I was not to answer it and I was not to talk to them. ROFLMAO. Do you think I listened to her hahahahaha heck no! All my adult hood if any one came to my door and wanted to talk religion they where invited in. About 20 years ago 2 ladies came to my door. I invited them in but they where in a hurry. They asked if it would be okay if someone called on me at a later time. I said yes was thinking heck yes if someone wants to talk religion I'm all for it. The elderly gentleman that called asked if he could come for a visit. I said yes. He said are you going to be there or go hide hahahahahah! I have to admit I did start to laugh (knowing that my mom use to do that). I did start to study with them. His wife and him where awesome people. I do believe what the witnesses believe. I have been baptised in Church of Christ but not as a witness. I do not go to church or as they call it the meetings. It seems that once out of the habbit as with so many other things it is hard to get back into. It did not seem to me that what they believe was so much different then what I was taught as a child unlike what most people believe to be the case.

Religion. My beliefs are different, I suppose. I don't believe in a vengeful, money grubbing God, as most of the people that have come to door seem to!

My New's resolution was to thoroughly clean one room each month. (whether it needs it or not ) So, I cleaned out my kitchen cabinets this morning. I wonder why it is that I had more space before I got rid of all the expired items? Is that really possible? When the heck did I turn into that person that saves deli containers? I was never going to be THAT person! I suppose next I'll be washing off paper plates and baggies.... HELP ME!

I did not make any resolutions like that yet ... . I had a wall of boxes since I moved out of my house in 2009. So far 9 boxes of books to Goodwill, 3 boxes of books to my Church for a library, 4 boxes of books posted on Amazon to be sold an 3 boxes of books to the trash - most cookbooks that were dirty and well used. Today 21 photo albums and one wedding album put into the dumpster.

The Missionaries from the Morom Church lost their welcome here. I learned a lot. I was very honest that I would listen but was not interested in converting. Their last visit was very pushy about conversion. It is unfortunate since I like the girls.

Harder, I also believe in a loving God. It has taken a long time to completely embrace that truth. I can get tripped up that if something goes awry that it is not punishment. Then I go back to the truth.

hey harder read your comment on deli cantainers. i had to laugh about that one a little. i only collect certain ones because work better and dont take up as much space in the fridge. around here i buy the small tator salad cantainers they work best for putting onions in after you have cut them. mark so you only use it for onions because it will smell like onions forever. some times when you have leftovers cottage cheese small or large cantainers work better than trying to find the right size that tupperware sold you. i wouldnt worry about washing the paper plates as of yet, but when you start let us know so we can all pitch in and buy you a jacket so you can hug yourself all day in.

Oh my word you all are so funny!!!!!! I can hardly keep my eyes open don't even know why I logged on to check things out. Harder my youngest son believes as you do we have debats all the time and it is fun. Neither of us trying to change the other just enjoying debating over it lol.

Barb I lived in Utah sub. of Salt Lake Utah and learned all about what the morman's believe. It isn't what I believe but if they come to the door I sure do enjoy talking to them lol if not busy hahahah. I do not like push people when it comes to religion, mormon's, witnesses, catholics, lutherens etc you get the point lol

Ken lol i use to save all those odd things too. I figured they work just great didn't need to go buy sets of stuff. A few years back I finally started to throw them away after I bought sets of stuff hahahahha. If harder starts to wash paper plates I think I will have the big one. As Sanford would say ( TV show from around the 70s or 80s) "Elizabeth I'm Coming" ROFLMAO!!!! That was a funny show loved to watch it.

Night all have to get to bed before I fall asleep in this chair hahahah

One reason I never saved the deli containers is because I prefer glass over that type of plastic. Some of it melts in the microwave, and it doesn't freeze well, besides, I don't trust that plastic, have read to many bad things about it. I know, I am picky with kitchen items.

Also, I don't trust recycled toilet paper...... I really hate seeing that written on the package, because where are they getting the used toilet paper to recycle?

It's been snowing.... again. So far today I have vacuumed. Cats hate the vacuum, suppose I could do it more often just for a chuckle. I have decided to remain in my pj's until it stops snowing, ain't gonin' no where until it quits, so why bother. It will be my form of demonstration against global warming.

Been a busy day so far and its only 1PM..

Getting this apartment ready so I can move out. Went and bought a couple more Totes to pack things up in. Stopped and had my bald head cut one more time by my buddy, Mickie. Came back home, got things boxed and moved out of the way so I can deep clean this place. Only have the bathroom itself, and the kitchen floor left to do.

Thursday morning, Ill pack up my car and witht the help of family, load a pickup, and make our way for Florida.

Disclaimer: I will NOT take this snow with me...

Very honored to have met you folks here in the Iowa Room. Miss Candra & Co. put on a great shin dig...

You guys take care, live your lives to the fullest, fullfill your dreams....Ill see you all on the Flipside...
