I love Maine and have wanted to move there for years. My family actualy came across the pond and landed there centuries ago, so I feel a pull to it.
Kids all grown, live out of state, and now is my chance to do something for me...
And I need to get some info on housing for someone my age on disability. Yes, I walk talk, and act about like anyone else, but do have that dreaded limmited income.
I have Section 8 here, but need to find out if the Bangor area has it too, and what other options they may offer for renting.

Thanks... I'll try that.
Looking for the Bangor area, but actualy any area close to the water. I am an artist and photographer, and Maine is a life long dream for me.

You will enjoy Portland more than Bangor. Closer to the water and more things to do. The most amounted restaurants in one place in all of New England. Also, there is a more diverse community.
Take it from someone who lived in Bangor for 3 years and hated it. It's easier to get a better paying job in Portland too.

I just came across a picture of where I lived two years ago today. We had almost 2 foot of snow and totaly white outs that day. This picture shows when it first got started good.
The snow drifted so bad, both front back and side door were totaly drifted shut.
Luved it!!!!!
