I am looking for a relationship that leads to marriage.
With the right person, I believe that marriage can be an awesome experience...if both have the right attitude about marriage, maintain respect for one another and their friendship, and both are committed to working towards keeping their relationship "fresh" and alive. All of these require less selfishness and more selflessness...looking out for the other's best interest.

I was married and am going through the motions of divorce, have been for about 6 months and it's finally about to wrap up.
I honestly don't know if I would ever remarry, I was with my ex for 7 years and had two kids with her before we married, then 6 months after we tied the knot she had an affair...
I'm of the mind now that if I didn't know her well enough after 7 years to know what kind of person she was....how will I ever know anyone well enough?
I'm ruling nothing out though, if things feel right and there's a deep connection then yea, I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of getting married for a second time, just at the moment it would be difficult to say yes or no with any certainty.....hopefully some part of that made sense.

I have no desire to remarry..was married 3 times, with two divorces and one anullment (2nd marriage was only 3 months)
If I were in a good relationship I would just want it to stay that way. There are no guarantees in life that tells us that marriage is forever..

There is absolutely zero reason for a man to get married any more.

The thought of getting married again is frightening to me. The thought of not getting married again is also frightening to me. Hopefully I'll make the right decision when the time comes.

Was married once.......like 18 years ago..so for me at this point in my life I see no reason to get married!
I got married 17 years ago myself and left him about 6 months later. I see no reason in getting married again myself.

I totally agree with nightowl,
Why not just spend a lot of time together. The only reason I see for marriage is tax purposes. They really slam it to the singles. I would not marry again unless I was 100% sure that it was what I wanted out of life. I would consider living together for a while to see if it worked out. I still need my freedom and complete control of the bed. Having someone there once in a while is a lot different that having them there every day or all night every night.
