my soon to be ex-husband is 2 years younger than me, if they are mature enough I go as young as 10 years younger if they are interested

I tend to prefer older men but 1-3 years is not going to make any real difference. Will it matter when you are 63 and he's 60?

No.
I'm 19, and I'll be turning 20 within a few months, but people who are in their late teens and early twenties seem to change a lot from year to year and there's also the difference in maturity...
But on the flipside, I would also be wary of dating someone more that four or five years older than me, because most people in their mid to late twenties are starting to want to settle down, and I'm not ready for that type of commitment or responsibility right now, either.

It depends on your age and maturity. My daughters father was 8 years younger then me. It was a good relationship for about 3 years. We were at different places in our life's and so it ended. We still talk and I still play a roll in his life as a trusted friend and marriage and family counselor and adviser. At my current age I would think that younger is better since women out live men. It is all good younger or older if you have things in common and you care about each other and you are both over 18.

I prefer guys about my age or older but 3 years younger ain't that much. Guys 5+ younger makes me feel a bit dirty but I've got no problem dating a guy 10 years older.

I am dating one that is 24. They have been knocking at my door... So why not? Then again I wouldn't date them if the are 22 or younger... 23 is my limit.

I think maybe 5 years younger. I can't wrap my head around being with someone that is my kids age and they range from 22- 37. I would want them to relate more to me then to my kids.

That was my initial reaction also until I noticed she was only twenty. So if this man is in fact 17 then that might be an issue.  Blue flashing lights and so forth.

The age is not an indication of the maturity level, however, I would prefer someone who knows the facts about some of the facts that I do and has experienced life during approximately the same decades as myself.

My ex was 11 years younger than me, but the older I have gotten, I would probably only date someone 2-3 years younger/older now. I think it gets harder once one of you is retired and the other one still has to work. I know to some, that can be a good thing, but I want to be able to travel and go places with my partner!

I seemed to have always been with a little bit younger men but I wouldn't go more than
eight years. I have been men that are younger that are more mature than men ten years older than me. Depends on the mans energy. Not meaning sexually but that is a plus.

I'm 43 my boyfriend is 31. We get along great! age doesn't matter if you're compatible. I've dated older men,younger men, men my age. If we get along it's all good. Although, I do not think I will go THIS much younger again. He wants to get married I don't.

My daughter's father is 9 years older than me and my sons is a year younger... Loved them both at one point but they are both douches now, especially my sons father. I proffer to date older because we're usually on similar levels on what we want in life and dating younger, even just by a year or two, usually makes me feel like a creeper lol. This may change one day but for now I'm sticking with older.
