like makin canes,figures,models,chip,flat plane..carvin into or out of
what are you workin on now or have in the past??
the last thing i did was a walkin stick that was all Virginia,red cedar,dogwood flower,cardinal bird,little hearts tassels.the flowers,vines,bird,hearts where painted the rest was cleared

I do some wood carving with a chainsaw..haha.. I got into it a few years ago when I decided I wanted a large bear carving for myself. So far I've carved about 40 bears, 3 feet tall or larger and have yet to keep 1 for myself!
I carve 100's of mushrooms as they are good sellers of the flea markets. Mainly I enjoy carving tiki style figures and fish carvings. A few carving photos on my profile.

Im learning carving of walking staffs and canes. Also learning shell, vopper, exotic wood inlay, and braiding leather suede and hemp. Best hobby ive ever had; i love it.

I carve maneki nekos - Japanese lucky cat.
I'm working on one now, and am >50% finished.
time-consuming,but fun.
have you tried any big projects, and how long did it take?
any ideas on carving? I use a hacksaw for huge cuts, carving knives w/ xacto for fine cuts.

It held together really well. I used bar soap.
