We are all here for one reason or another....
Unfortunately for some...being single sucks.
The convenience of having someone to come home to...just isn't there.
The convenience of sharing the little moments with another...just isn't there.
The urge to look for creative ways to show appreciation for the one you love...well, the opportunity doesn't even exist...

For me, its being 30, about to turn 31 in february and not having kids, or never married yet. Its very depressing at times, but my outside activities, and being military keep my mind free of it most of the time. I'm borderline of giving up!

Hmmmm...hardest part of being single....wich obviously everyone here is....if not they wouldn't be here unless they're unhappy...so I would say that answers the question...the answer for me would be : Being on a stupid singles dating site.. I'm here for forums though)

@ Girdaud82 - Wow. You would make the perfect catch. Most people who re-enter the dating world comes with packages..you know alimony, child support, baby momma drama, Broke-assness (yes, I did just make my own word)..LOL! With all that said...I swear You look like GOLD to alot of people...SOmetimes it's just easier to get the apple from the bottom of the tree instead of the pure juicy ones from the top. =) Trust, I know what I'm talking about..Cuz I come with a 2 year old angelistic Devil =)
@WineandSteak - (rubbing eyes) I seriously had to check if I had the right person..I'm Totally Shocked..that you of all people..POSTED IN A FORUM! Wow Miracles really do happen! lol.I totally missed you..and by the sound of it...it's probably going to be raining lottery cool points tonight =)... on a side note, relationships are difficult because SEX got easier to get! Two people are meant to compliment each other not cause drama! Either way..you will still get the UH couch =)
@Grimley25 - Amen to stupid single sites! You know that...Single dating sites are more hard to find someone then the old fashioned way? Its like it just used for rating purposes...like shopping online for clothes..you don't get the experience the fabric..you pick your merchandise based on the design =)

I appreciate your honesty and candor in setting up this thread. Really cool. The hardest part has to be the loneliness but to a degree I'm glad I can fill that with family and friends.

I love sleeping alone..love my space...love freedom! But id have to say the hardest part to being single is having no one to call when shit hits the fan....or when something amazing happens like xmas bonuses....or having no one to drag along to do crazy shit. I miss having a real best friend...cause chicks are dangerous

For me anyway the most difficult part about being single is finding someone. I moved to the island in Novemeber and the dateing scene is not what i was expecting. It seem to me that if you are a single guy on Oahu then the deck is stacked against you. With all the military and surfers the numbers just dont add up. All the single girls that i know don't seam to have any troubles finding dates. There also arent the shows on Oahu to meet anyone at, at least not like back home.
I would say the second toughest part about being single here is the island itself. Just look at it The landscapes are beutiful, and with all the secluded spots, and the sunsets, you would have to work hard not to find the Romance in a place like this. It is literally out of a postcard. WHich is great if you have someone, but downright depressing sometimes when you have to deal with it everyday. It might not be so bad if it wasn't there as a constant reminder.
Hawaii is definately an amzing place for couples, its ideal. You cant drive down the north shore without seing them holding hands, kissing on the beach, taking pictures in the sunset together. I dont get bitter or angry about it, there may have been a time where i might have resented it. But in a way i have grown to sort of appreciate it. it has shown me what i have taken advantage of in the past.
I have been in relationships where i have just asumed that that would always be there. Always having someone to have dinner with. If i wanted to go to the beach always knowing that i would have company. If i wanted to go see a movie always knowing i would have a partner, and someone to discuss it with over a cup of coffee afterwards. And yes, when your in the mood always having a willing partner who is just as excited when you are.
So because of this i have taken solace in their hapiness. sure it may be depressing sometimes, but i have faith i will find it again. I also miss having someone to sleep with, both for the sex and the comfort of having someone there. It's tough sharing a bed with someone for so long, and then suddenly having itall to yourself. sure i would't mind having the bed to myself every once in a while, i even actually would look forward to it. Now it just seems like another thing to miss.

I agree with everyone. The hardest thing about being single, is just that, being single. LoL. Not having someone around to share moments with, someone to hold you when u need them to, someone to call u and ask u how ur day went, someone to just be there for you. The other hardest thing is to find someone who is looking for the same things that you are. As Braymen said, sex is easy to get. But playing gets old. Finding someone you want to share everything with isn't as easy. But things happen when u least expect it. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Being single is a bliz. Your money is for yourself and your self only unless you decide to go on a date with a man who does not have money you have the freedom to do anything you want when you want on your own time. but of course being single is not for everybody  and then when you want a little something so of course you get a booty call. women there is such a thing as a one night stand t hank you very much
