I'm not interested in debating...Too many nasty attitudes online. 3 years of internet debates is far more than enough for me. I'm on a mission of peace and happiness. I'm just looking for like minded people.

It may have to do with the fact Atheists don't go around attempting to convert people.

Go to meetup.com and look for groups in your area with names like "freethought", "freethinkers", etc. They are for non-religious people. I found one right near me after seeing a list duchessa posted in here of groups in all 50 states. I just joined one near me 3 weeks ago and already met some fun people to talk to! Our group meets every week. Sure beats trying to meet anyone in here.

Well Most are trying to push their beliefs onto others in other forms I think, esp in the politics forum. I personally don't believe we should do that as everyone should have a right to choose. With that said I did just post a anti Christian thing over there.

AronRa and Thunderf00t(look them up on Youtube) are examples to the contrary of your assertion.

And some non-pushy believers are examples of "not all believers have an agenda". See, dear, always there are few black sheep in every group. Get over.

You shouldn't have too much trouble in a liberal state like CA. At least you're not stuck in the most conservative corner of AL like me! I started posting ads on craigslist in the personal section trying to direct people to the local atheist meetup group. (So far I've only met married couples in there and college & high school kids).

Yea the vast majority of every state is made up of Theists. The cultural groups I belong to and mingle in make it harder. Online there seems to be so many. lol

I don't have a problem dating Christians as long as they don't make it a condition in their essay for any man they meet. (A lot of them do state that so I don't bother contacting any of them). You might try looking for profiles that state a religion but don't mention it in the essay. Others leave it blank and I find they are often not religious at all. So you don't really have to look for atheists or agnostics unless you were an outspoken atheist yourself.

I don't really date Christians or Muslims..and know I couldn't be happy married to one. They nearly ALWAYS bring up God so far in fact always first date, second date, once you meet a friend it a two..of theirs. it goes against how I live my life also. I mainly date Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists. It's pretty much a no big deal with Hindus and not an issue at all with Buddhists but sometimes an issue with Sikhs. lol
Also this has been the same for platonic lady friends belonging to the Christian faith; they always mention god, Jesus, church, etc.
I had a woman go nuts in my own house talking about I'm going to hell, etc. Yelling all sorts of crazy stuff with curse words mixed right in her "speech". I kicked her out let time pass asked her if she understood why what she did was wrong her response was it wasn't wrong; she did it to get in my head and make me "think".
I prefer to not get involved with people of Abrahamic religions. Much easier for me. If I were looking for flings and club buddies it wouldn't matter so much but I'm not..

I may have to start looking in the younger age group. I ran a search with my minimum age set down to 30 and turned up quite a few non-religious. Not too many non-Christians in my age group and location. (And it's much worse trying to eliminate the smokers and single moms too).

Date younger. Personally my ideal husband would be 7 to 20 years older than myself however it is hard to find a childless, never married, marriage minded older man.. Plenty of women date older men.

good luck finding a older atheist in this place, you'd have a better chance of finding
a 12 year old girl pregnant with her brothers kid.lol

I'm childless, never married, over 50 (but look 40) and DO want something serious and long term! I don't want any kids either but I don't want to date anyone still wanting kids.
