hmmmmmm. hadn't heard that cowboy but with two thirds of both houses required to send an amendment to the states and then convince THREE FOURTHS of the legislatures buying off on it, why not use the two thirds vote in congess to simply override a veto?

I just read that yesterday, but I don't think it was a veto. He just didn't sign it.
I guess today that would be a "Pocket Veto."
The other thing that surprised me was that the 18th only prohibited the "Sale."
You could produce for yourself but you could not sell it.
The vineyards sold Bricks of grapes with the instructions, Do not put in a bottle in a cool dry place for a couple weeks. If so do not drink the Alcohol!

but if the president doesn't sign or veto a bill it becomes law without his participation in ten days.

a pocket veto only happens when congress adjourns during those ten days and even then they can leave an agent to accept a veto.
