I thought I knew my entire home here so was surprised to find something I didn't notice before. It was in the room where at one time must have been an old office. There are still books in there, shelves from the ceiling to the floor. I never see anyone come in this room but oddly enough there isn't much dust. Today I wanted to see what the books were up on the top. Bored I guess never checked them out before the ones on the bottom are so boring. I climbed the ladder up and down moving it several times. I pulled out a book to see the title of it. I saw something move in the space where the book had been. I was sure it was just going to be a mouse. What I found was a part of the wood was losing. I pulled more books out sitting them aside. It was a small door. Shorter than the books and about 6 inches wide. It took me some time to get it open. I had to climb down and go find something. I found an old letter opener to pry it open. I was excited hoping to find something but really didn't expect to. When I opened it there was leather bag. I can tell it is really old. My heart started to pound faster. I pulled it out very carefully. I opened it up and found letters. I closed the door put the books back climbed down and well I know this is silly but I moved the ladder to a different spot. I can't wait to read them I wonder what they will say!
