I loved the witching series until the last one. I could not get through Taltos no matter how hard I tried. It was just dull. I liked Memnoch the best of all the vampire series. My fave of all her books was The Mummy but I do not think she will write another book for this to become a series which sucks but oh well.

I'm pretty sure Rice isn't an atheist anymore. So she's writing religious shight.

interview is probably the weakest of the original 4 or 5 book series. it gets much better and well defined with the vampire lestat.

my only real issue is it seemed like everyone was either bisexual or turned bi when they vamped out.

I bet Bram Stoker rolled over several times in his grave when _Twilight_ came out. Hate it when people deviate so far away from an archetypal character that you do not recognize it anymore...My favorite Ann Rice vampire novel was _Queen of the Damned_. Gave me the shudders.

There are 10 current Vampire Chronicles novels, with a 11th LESTAT-based book to be published this year.

1 Interview with the Vampire (1976)
2 The Vampire Lestat (1985)
3 The Queen of the Damned (1988)
4 The Tale of the Body Thief (1992)***
5 Memnoch the Devil (1995)
6 The Vampire Armand (1998)
7 Pandora
8 Vittorio the Vampire (1999)
9 Merrick (2000)
10 Blood and Gold (2001)
11 Prince Lestat (2014)

*** The Mayfair Witches trilogy: Witching Hour, Lasher, and Taltos all should be read before Tale of the Body Thief, as those set up a few key crossover references and the secondary lead character in Body Thief. The Mayfair stories continue later in Blackwood Farm (2002), and Blood Canticle (2003).

It's all (as Anne abuses the word) PRETURNATURAL!
