We were married almost 20 years, we were high school sweethearts, we have 3 sons together.....it takes both people to make it work, to help it fall apart. I don't want to pretend or act like for a minute that I never made mistakes, I did. He did as well. We forgot to say we were sorry with meaning, we forgot to hold each other when we hurt, cried, or laughed. We forgot we were a team. We got lazy and careless with one another heart, and your heart is the most valuable gift you can give. You must treasure that gift and treat it with the upmost respect and love and gratitude. We forgot that. Now some time has passed and things cannot be undone or changed. I am not filled with hate, anger or disillusionment. Or time has passed and I wish him the best.
