We're not quite there yet and it is already becoming apparent that there are some problems with the Affordable Health Care Act. Many democrats are already proposing urgent changes to help fix some of the unintended consequences of it while outright repeal is a serious subject with some politicians. In the end, more "medical insurance" equals job cuts. Job cuts equal a less robust economy. Even states and government employees are now feeling the effects:

Add to that an impending collapse of the stock market that is signalled by people like Warren Buffett and Birkshire Hataway, George Soros, and John Paulson are dumping millions of stock shares adn it is easy to extrapolate what the near future is likely to bring. A less robust economy can be weakened beyond the point of recovery by unfunded mandates when people can't afford to pay for expanded government programs and control.

I urge folks to seriously consider their exposure. Just for the record I predicted mid-March as when they will finally come to a reckoning. That is just a gut feeling but also based on the activities in government with spending limits, etc. Something tells me that if you are heavily into stocks (if you have a 401K or other plan you are probably exposed) you might be sorry if you don't move your money someplace else. I sold all of my remaining stocks just before the first of the year.
All that's left is that people will rely increasingly on government to pick up the slack. A problem to consider is that regardless of the best intentions it is still the businesses that make the things government mandates be provided. Whithout business government can mandate to it's heart content but it won't matter. It's no different than going to the store with a pocketful of money or loaded WIC card and finding shelves are empty.
This is what happens when people with dreams and feel good utopian notions somehow get control. You can wish, hope, madate andchange any rules you like. If they don't make sense in a world full of realities they will come to naught. The fact that some people believe they can simply lends prrof to the notion that progressive liberalism truely is a clinical mental disorder.
