For some reason, my sound does not work, with Internet Explorer, and it always worked fine until today. But it does work with Firefox. When I click on my sound, it shows it is working, but isnt. Where should I look, to solve this problem.

This isn't a problem. Its the universe giving you a reason to stop using that wholly incompitant piece of software ie is s hit any way use fire fox or chrome or chromium or any of the other far better alternatives.
As for fixing it I'm afraid I wouldn't be much help I don't know why it would just randomly stop working and I don't know all the details that led up to its stopping sorry

Hey Pike!
I assume you're talking about hearing videos. You may need to reinstall Flash. Also check your Add-Ons in IE, there may be another add-on taking over playing sound that is broken. You can disable an add-on.

update IE to the newest version. That will automatically bring you upto speed with any other plug=ins, drivers etc you may need.

Click on your volume icon in the task bar and select the mixer. See if there is a volume slider for internet explorer.
