A live chat room would be a bonus for visitors. It's a fun place to drop in and have a more fluid conversation when multiple friends are on. It's also a way to meet new friends. Per state would target a more realistic potential dating base but there's not enough traffic to warrant that. This wouldn't have to replace the existing chat room forum. The existing chat room is fine and functions much like text messages whereas you can pop in to see what's going on at your convenience. I suggested the per-state forums long ago and it's a success. It's like the shop I work at...In time you will come to understand when I tell you it's Christmas you should hang your stockings. I'm never wrong...ever.

@ invisiblemuse, (lol) Yes you can request anything you want. If DH is nice they will do it for you (and themselves) and grow their following. It wasn't until we had per state threads that we actually started having get-togethers and getting more from this site than fun chat. For example...Let's say you became completely enamored with me...Because of the distance, you would just become frustrated..crying yourself to sleep each night desperately wanting something you can never have. With local chat you can find someone half as awesome as me and live a somewhat fulfilling life.
It should be an easy set up. Wouldn't have to be elaborate with cam and all but it would be an attractive feature to many. Just a suggestion.

most went to that.

That's quite a scenario you're describing there.
Local chat in the case of us Europeans would still be pretty frustrating for those, who've fallen hopelessly in love with someone on the other end of the continent - but it sure would be fun!!

Well...I did use the magic word (please) so I imagine the IT staff will be all over this Monday morning. Try not to think on the scenario I gave as an example. That would take the electricity out of things knowing the best you can hope for is half of what you desire. It's like getting to taste chocolate once then only getting to eat rice the rest of your life. OK, now I'm rambling...sometimes I go too far but I amuse myself.

I just looked at Europe on google maps and the whole thing fit on my screen so...It shouldn't be so bad. I guess I never really thought on just how huge your continent is.

They make brainy people to figure those sort of things out. I prefer not to use math, it just makes my head hurt. All our layout tools and shop machines are in metric. I don't know why it's taking us so long to completely convert.

Sure but some dating sites have live chat so there's no need to leave. I won't mention them and they aren't as user friendly as DH.

Sounds to me as some members are being booted off less friendly sites which sponsor IM (live chat) and all the rejects are trying to have DH add live chat so they can continue their bad behavior ... hmmmmmmmmmmm
I do believe that DH has said ~~~ NO. No, IM on this site.
