Last summer I decided to take a chance and invite a gentleman to have coffe with me at a Culvers. Asking him to meet me there had an ulterior motive. As I had been out of the dating scene for many years my children told me to make sure one of them was there also. They wanted me to be safe. So as I have a daughter who works at the Culvers I invited him there.
Meeting someone for the first time can be a little nerve racking, but he had a great smile and I felt right ease. We talked non stop for 2 hours. It was if we had known each other a lifetime. When we parted we wished each other good luck in our search and we hoped each of us would find the one we were looking for. Little did we know that our search would bring us together.
I finally asked him out again for coffee as I couldn't get him out of my mind. I told him I would drive to where he lived and he could pick where he wanted to meet. Again the conversation flowed. Soon more conversations went back and forth. I invited him to a car show in Milwaukee. When he got out of his car he asked me if he could give me a kiss. Of course I said yes. It was a wonderful kiss, and each kiss since then has been just as wonderful. We had a wonderful time, and again the conversation flowed. I finally realized he was the one for me, now I just had to hope he felt the same way.
He asked me to Christmas Eve service at his church and I said yes. Everyone there greeted me with a handshake and introduced themselves to me.
I finally realized he felt the same way when he told me he wanted me to meet his brother and sister in law. We went out to eat and had a wonderful time. He told me they want to get together again soon.
I took him to an Auto Museum in Hartford WI for his birthday. We both had a great time looking at cars from back in time.
He is a wonderful man and I'm glad he is in my life. He has a great sense of humor and knows how to treat a woman right.
