Well besides eating healthier, you want to keep your metabolism up so that you burn calories around the clock, so you want to rebuild the muscle that is also lost through weight loss. Doing a squatting exercise, an upperbody pushing exercise, and an upperbody pulling exercise works most of your body's muscle groups. I would do poster Rdeffley's recommendation of a push-up/squat exercise combination that he describes in the thread "If you could only do one..." that is located lower on the topics page. If you can't do regular push-ups, do them on your knees. For a pulling exercise, you can buy an inexpensive doorway pull-up bar at Walmart. You can put your feet on a chair under you to help you do pull-ups. Do several sets of each of these exercises 3 or 2 times a week.

take it slow for the first few weeks wean yourself off junk food for a week week and a half. then start lowering your calories and carbs. after your carbs are lowered your body will use any fat on your body for energy instead of the food you eat. you can exercise all you want but if you're not in a calorie deficit at the end of the week you're not going to lose any weight. getting the body you want is mostly made in the kitchen (for girls) good luck

Yep, this guy is right. Weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. All the experts say this. Stick to a reasonable calorie budget everyday (like 1500 or 1600 calories OR WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU!) and make good healthy food choices selecting more lean proteins, veggies and fruits than the higher fat higher carb foods.

Drinking ALOT of water will also be a BIG HELP too. Drink a gallon of water a day and see what happens. I guarantee that you will have substantial weight loss over the course of a week. You will pee out ALOT of water weight doing this. You'll be going to the restroom alot to pee. Anyways, this stuff works for me. I hope it helps you.

And, BTW if you can lose 1.5 to 2 pound a week you are doing good. Record your daily food and drink intake (calorie intake), your daily weight and your weekly progress. This helps me ALOT too. If you screw up which we all do, then just start again. No biggie.

Fast weight loss is not always good weight loss, because you want permanant fat loss and NOT something that is simply temporary. Good luck!

Congrats on your decision to improve your health!!!
I drink plenty of water during the week and I try to stay away from the double or
triple burger stacks and deep fried french fries.
try some portions of fish like Salmon or taliapia. the cravings will be rough
sometimes. I avoid the bags of empty calorie junk food.
avoid diet pop as well. that stuff is just awful for you. drink lemonade!

Good Luck!

Tip:

Campbles has some amazing soups....Most come in a serving size for two total calorie count for most is less than 400 for the whole can.

Replace your breakfast with the soup of your choice and eat the whole can...This will eliminate the sugary breakfast choices and keep you full throughout the day and after lunch...This works so well as for as craving food, when dinner times comes you crave less and will only want something small like a salad.

Right now I am having the Chunky Chicken Fajita, the total cal. per can is 260. This makes me full and not wanting lunch and only wanting something small for dinner.

The bonus here is that you are burning more calories throughout the day instead of having a large dinner and it being so close to bedtime.

Good Luck...500.00 would buy some really cute NEW SIZE clothes

Ps the other good thing about this is it becomes a habit and you will start craving soup for breakfast

If you want to win, it is all about your body's fuel source.

If you do a carb diet, your are fueling your body with sugar, and you will be in ENDLESS portion control, eating time control, calorie counting nightmare. And this usually involves bring HUNGRY. It is your blood sugar levels that trigger hunger, and not food in the belly. So when the sugar levels drop, you don't have a backup sugar fuel source, and your body screams, FEED ME. You will be endlessly dealing with that. And how successful are people dealing with the endless hunger triggers? On a carb diet, you have a 30% chance of being OBESE, and a 40% chance of being fat. That means just 30% of those on a carb diet are skinny (and I have not even gotten into those skinny from the gastric bypass surgery).

If you do a low carb diet, you fuel your body with mostly fats. Your blood sugar level stays at about 90, so you never get the FEED ME TRIGGER. If you don't eat enough fats to fuel the body, then your body needs fuel, and get this, it will use BODY FAT as a fuel source. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN BURN FAT ALL NIGHT.

YOU NEED TO TAKE VITAMINS AND MINERALS ON ANY FREAKING DIET. Nobody can meet the RDA without supplements, except for maybe a banana only diet. Just check the potassium requirements. Don't forget, it is enzymes that do the work in the body, and they need vitamins or minerals. Take them!!!!

READY FOR THE INSANE PART? If you do low carb, and have a lot of fat on the body, why eat FAT to fuel your body? Just use body fat. This means you only take nutrients and some amino acids.

Now, the carb heads, including the 400lb dietitian i saw last week, are going to endlessly argue against low carb. That is because SUGAR is a DRUG that people cannot get off of.

And we have not even started on exercise as the biggest scam on the planet IF YOU ARE ON A CARB DIET. Have you seen how many calories you lose exercising? Not 1/4 lb of fat. FYI There is 3500 calories in a pound of fat.

if you want a book on this, send me your mail and i will send a PDF FILE.

Start to jog. That alone can make you lose weight quick if you do it diligently and consistently. Aside from that, if you join a gym, get in the treadmill for 45 mintues to either run or jog and then after that do a combination of these

-Plank
-Crunches
-Leg Raises
-Side Raises

Seperately for 3 sets with doing 10-12 reps per set. Do this for 3-4 times a week and you'll should see results by week 5, again if done consistently and diligently. Best of luck to you.....gamer

I don't do gyms and I don't use weights. Gyms are only good if they have one on one training because not all bodies are the same.
I jog around Sundance square sometimes, but nonstop for about 22:00 minutes. I do that once a week if I have time, because afterwards my body is usually sore for about 4 days. If I don't have time to get downtown, I may just jog around my apartments, nonstop. I usually drink a bottle of water before and after the run.
I also have some intense stretches that I've created that work the whole body at once. Anyone that isn't flexible would be able to use assistance to do them, but very risky if not flexible.
Also, I don't drink soda or any carbonated beverages because they're the cause of cramps and kidney stones or kidney failure, depending on the strength of the immune system.

If you have not been physically active it has to be low impact and the swim is the best low impact you can do.

Allow yourself time and swim the whole time..no breaks..does not matter how fast you go. 120 minutes is the goal...anything over 80 minutes is perfect.

This burns fat only.

Eat normally and you will lose 2-3 pounds of fat a week with ease.

Main thing is calories in calories out. If you want to lose a pound a week you need to burn 500 calories a day. Walk 30 minutes as a start. Find friends who will support you. Drink more water also.

HIIT 2x a week along with weight training and lots of cardio is the best. HIIT is no joke! Better than Zumba anyday. Zumba is fun and it will help but HIIT hits it all and keeps your heart rate up major and you still burn fat and calories all day long after your workout.

thecandidadiet.com is filled with good information-It works-I plumped out-and exercise was not working to get rid of the weight-in time I have learned we get weight gain confused with fat-when it is not always fat-it is over active yeast-and this over active yeast gets into our organs under our skin and leaves a basis for infection.I took the probiotics-(is what we can get from our foods we eat) and I did take Golden seal the root(Good for the immunity system) for 2 months-Lost close to 40lbs.I am at 159lbs and holding-this month I am trying to see how I do just with healthy eating without purchase of probiotics.I have not gained yet have not lost.is 01-21-14-so next month I will decide next step.Just by staying active we can burn off fatty intake but this over active yeast(cellulorlite) needs a strong immunity system to push it out our body systems. But many trips to the rest room is required-the loosing weight sitting on the but.

the building up the immunity system-to fight against and kill the yeast and infections and push it out of the body-Lowering sugar intake to low to none-for the over active yeast causes us to crave sugar items.Like many peanut butters are high in sugar,Ice-cream when cookie and cream added in or sweet chocolate's-The chocolate with out sugar is V-C-is from a bean. When the yeast in in our pours dead or active-it can be sweated out-or steamed out-or dry heat-but when it is in our organs and in abundance under skin-then it can not be sweated out has to get broken down and pushed out by the immunity system.A sty-is active yeast-hard to get rid of a sty-and if a germ comes along can turn into a wart.I have found recently Over active yeast on the skin-in some spots like the belly button-a dry heat is working the best-like a winter hand warmer.I wonder also people with psoriasis-if a dry heat is going to work to pull it out-for it is over active yeast. And many yeast infections to just over active yeast can be in a rash form also.comes out then goes away.

Yeast requires food and environment to thrive. Don't consume an over abundance of things that feed the yeast. Aka. Sugary and starchy food. Some yeast is normal.

No-some grounds(Basis)(Yeast) to sit around for infection to grow in it-is not normal-the pancreas is not breaking the sugars down properly, turns into yeast-(need proper vitamins and minerals to work properly-healthy eating)the immune system has to work harder to get over active yeast out of the body and if the immunity system is low the yeast will cause sugar craving to make more yeast-because sugars are not getting broken down properly--cellulite-in bad cases-not so bad cases is cubby face, acne on face on back other skin areas, dandraf, dry skin etc etc..sty's---proper Vitamins and minerals we need-help all functions of our body-and a vitamin supplement is good-but we also need that healthy eating.Working out we clean pours through sweating, build muscles, and burn fat.But over active yeast is not fat.Main point.
