Eh... Its cool but I'm not gonna hold my breath. Kepler finds "habitable" planets regularly. I'll be more interested once we start setting down on these planets

The chances of the human race actually lasting long enough to travel from the planet to another is laughable. We will destroy this planet and ourselves along with it long before our technology will support inter-stellar travel.

While I don't think we'll figure out interstellar travel in my life time, I don't expect that it will take more than a 100 years before some crazy 13 year old MIT graduate figures out something that will help us immensely in that direction.
If you look at the advances in the private sector when it comes to space travel they've already blown away the government in all ways, if the private sector had been allowed to handle space travel from the beginning we'd probably already have a colony on the moon.
